Deep Learning–Powered Robust Tactile Perception: Bridging Graphene Electronic Skin and Dynamic Decoding

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article presents a developed methodology to achieve robust tactile perception with spatially designed electronic skin (e‐skin) utilizing laser‐induced graphene (LIG). To enhance LIG‐based e‐skin, the fabrication of the e‐skin is simplified and advanced decoding algorithms are employed, effectively circumventing several intrinsic issues of ...

Deglaciation history and subsequent lake dynamics in the Siljan region, south‐central Sweden, based on new LiDAR evidence and sediment records

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 47, Issue 15, Page 3515-3545, December 2022., 2022
Glacial geomorphology and postglacial landforms, derived from LiDAR‐based digital terrain models, together with radiocarbon‐dated sediment sequences, form the basis for landscape reconstruction spanning c. 2000 years (10,500–8500 cal. bp). After formation of streamlined terrain and ribbed moraine tracts followed intense glaciofluvial activity at ...

Complications Associated with Volar Locking Plate Fixation of Distal Radial Fractures. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Volar locked plating is the most frequently utilized method for internal fixation of distal radial fractures. The overall complication rate for volar plating of distal radial fractures appears to be relatively low compared with other operative fixation ...

Multi‐Risk‐Level Sarcopenia‐Prone Screening via Machine Learning Classification of Sit‐to‐Stand Motion Metrics from Wearable Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A machine learning approach utilizes micro inertial measurement units (μIMUs) for noninvasive sarcopenia screening through a sit‐to‐stand test. With 53 older participants wearing IMUs, 510 features are extracted across four motion phases. Five algorithms (support vector machine, K‐nearest neighbors, decision tree, linear discriminant analysis, and ...

Unstable AO/OTA type 31-A1.2 intertrochanteric femur fracture: An unusual case report

open access: yesTrauma Case Reports, 2020
AO/OTA type 31-A1.2 intertrochanteric femoral fractures generally are considered stable intertrochanteric fractures. We report a case of an unstable AO/OTA type 31-A1.2 intertrochanteric femoral fracture.

A Novel Anomaly Forecasting in Time‐Series Data: Feedback Connection between Forecasting and Detecting Algorithms with Applications to Power Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article develops a novel feedback structure for machine learning‐based anomaly forecasting, by which both forecasting the future states and detecting the anomalies in these states can be achieved at the same time. The algorithm is shown to be applicable to power systems, verifying its effectiveness in detecting potential faults before they occur ...

A rare case of bicondylar Hoffa fracture associated with ipsilateral tibial spine avulsion and extensor mechanism disruption

open access: yesChinese Journal of Traumatology, 2012
【Abstract】Intra-articular coronal fractures (Hoffas fractures) of distal femur are rare. Although bicondylar involvement in these fractures has been reported in the litera- ture in association with high velocity traumata, the occurrence of these ...

Biocompatibility and healing patterns in experimentally induced canine tibial fractures using Pedicle screw‐Rod external fixation

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that using a Pedicle screw‐Rod configuration for the external fixation of non‐articular tibial osteotomy aligns well with the principles of biological osteosynthesis, resulting in secondary bone healing characterized by callus formation and neovascularization.
