Proteomic Profiling of the Large‐Vessel Vasculitis Spectrum Identifying Shared Signatures of Innate Immune Activation and Stromal Remodeling

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Takayasu arteritis (TAK) and giant cell arteritis (GCA), the most common forms of large‐vessel vasculitis (LVV), can result in serious morbidity. Understanding the molecular basis of LVV should aid in developing better biomarkers and treatments. Methods Plasma proteomic profiling of 184 proteins was performed in two cohorts. Cohort 1 included

When apologizing hurts: Felt transgression and restoration efforts

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, Volume 44, Issue 1, Page 42-63, January 2023., 2023
Summary Apologizing is important for conflict resolution and relationship reconciliation, yet apologies often fail to restore the damaged relationship. While much research has been devoted to investigating the victims' reactions upon receiving an apology, in this paper, we adopt an apologizer‐centric approach and explore the phenomenon of apologizing ...

Efficacy, Safety, Pharmacokinetics, and Immunogenicity of ABBV‐154 in Adults With Glucocorticoid‐Dependent Polymyalgia Rheumatica: A Phase 2, Randomized, Double‐Blind, Placebo‐Controlled Trial

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective An unmet need exists for glucocorticoid‐sparing treatments for patients with polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR). The antibody‐drug conjugate ABBV‐154 comprises adalimumab conjugated to a glucocorticoid receptor modulator. We evaluated ABBV‐154 versus placebo in patients with glucocorticoid‐dependent PMR.

Incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with rheumatoid arthritis treated with Janus kinase inhibitors compared to biologic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drugs: data from an international collaboration of registries (the "JAK‐pot" study)

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective To assess the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in RA patients treated with JAKi, TNF‐inhibitors (TNFi) or biologic Disease‐Modifying Anti‐Rheumatic Drugs with other modes of action (bDMARD‐OMA) in a multi‐country, real‐world population.

First‐in‐human safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pilot food‐effect study of the candidate antimalarial compound MMV367

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim To evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics in healthy participants of orally administered MMV367 (GSK3772701), a novel antimalarial interfering with Plasmodium falciparum acyl coenzyme A synthetase 10/11 function. Methods This first‐in‐human study enrolled 47 healthy male and female participants.

Survival and failure modes of the Compress® spindle and expandable distal femur endoprosthesis among pediatric patients: A multi‐institutional study

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, Volume 127, Issue 1, Page 148-158, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Background Expandable endoprostheses can be used to equalize limb length for pediatric patients requiring reconstruction following large bony oncologic resections. Outcomes of the Compress® Compliant Pre‐Stress (CPS) spindle paired with an Orthopedic Salvage System expandable distal femur endoprosthesis have not been reported.

Transfer Learning‐Based Data‐Fusion Model Framework for State of Health Estimation of Power Battery Packs

open access: yesBattery Energy, EarlyView.
To handle nonlinearity and feature coupling, a data‐driven aging model is proposed, employing dual Gaussian Process Regressions and transfer learning to enhance model efficiency and accuracy. Adaptive filtering refines the model by integrating aging features and output capacity, resulting in a closed‐loop data fusion framework for SOH estimation ...

Evaluation of the efficacy of modal analysis in predicting the pullout strength of fixation bone screws

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 5, Issue 4, December 2022., 2022
We evaluated the efficacy of a novel method in predicting the pullout strength of bone screws. The analysis showed that the pullout strength is highly affected by the size of the pilot hole. The nondestructive method can be used to predict the pullout strength of the bone screws.

Topographical Anatomy of the Superficial Peroneal Nerve: A Cadaveric Study on Anatomical Patterns and Clinical Implications

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The notable anatomical variability of the superficial fibular nerve (SFN) affects clinical and surgical procedures that involve it. The aim of this study was to analyze the course and branching patterns of the SFNs relative to bony landmarks to provide foundational data for surgical precision and thereby minimize iatrogenic injuries.
