Reservoir Parameters Inversion Based on Fracturing Operation Parameters
International Petroleum Technology Conference, 2013Abstract Reservoir parameters can be accurately obtained by well test. However, well test is a cumbersome process with a long time period and induces some influences on the oil field production. Though small-scale fracturing test can also acquire reservoirs and fracturing fracture parameters, it is not be realistic ...

Integral parameters for thermal fracture
Engineering Fracture Mechanics, 1989Abstract This study examines the utility and limitations of a number of different integral parameters for crack driving force determination in thermal fracture problems. In addition, the important effect of material property variation with temperature is examined.

Determination Of Fracture Parameters From Fracturing Pressure Decline
SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 1979Abstract This paper presents analyses which permit some of the parameters that quantify a fracture and the fracturing process to be estimated from the pressure decline following fracturing. The primary assumptions are consistent with those of current practice—a vertical fracture of essentially constant height ...

Materials and Structures, 1996
This paper studies the relationship between the two parameter fracture model and the size effect model. An equivalency between two models is first established based on infinitely large size specimens. Based on this equivalency, relationships between material fracture parameters (KIcs, CTODc) and (Gf, cf) are derived.

Two-parameter elastic-plastic fracture criterion and corrected fracture toughness
Industrial laboratory. Diagnostics of materials, 2022The basic aspects of theJ-Aconcept of elastic-plastic two-parameter fracture mechanics, based on a three-term asymptotic description of the stress field at the crack tip are presented. It is noted that the field of elastic-plastic stresses at the crack tip is controlled by two parameters of fracture mechanics, namely,J-integral and parameterA ...

Characterization of Fracture Dynamic Parameters to Simulate Naturally Fractured Reservoirs
International Petroleum Technology Conference, 2008Abstract Fractures identification is essential during exploration, drilling and well completion of naturally fractured reservoirs since they have a significant impact on flow contribution. There are different methods to characterize these systems based on formation properties and fluid flow behaviour such as logging

Fracture Parameters Optimization of BZ Oilfield Horizontal Well Integral Fracturing
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013Horizontal well technology has become an important technological means for offshore oilfield exploitation, but at present, most of the fracture parameters optimization of horizontal well fracturing are based on the single wells productivity after fracturing and pay less attention to consider the impact of injection wells. Therefore, aiming at injection ...

The Relative Importance of Fracture Parameters During Fractured Reservoir Development
Proceedings, 2013When developing a fractured reservoir, it is beneficial to learn from analogue fields about the fracture parameters which significantly impact fluid flow and hydrocarbon recovery under various recovery schemes. The lack of an industry standard workflow for the modelling of naturally fractured hydrocarbon reservoirs and the numerous ways in which ...

Determination of Fracture Parameters
2017Numerical methods for determining fracture mechanics parameters or “crack-driving forces” like J-integral or energy release rate and stress intensity factors by finite element analyses are presented and explained. Special emphasis is placed on the capabilities of the finite element code ABAQUS.
