Deformation and fracture behavior in TRIP steels under static and dynamic tensile conditions
The present study sought to explore the deformation and fracture behavior of Quenching and Partitioning (Q&P) steel at five different strain rates (10−4 s−1, 1 s−1, 10 s−1, 100 s−1 and 1400 s−1).

Tensile strain and fracture of snow [PDF]
Abstract Measurements over several hours of the tensile strain of snow have been carried out, and the strain-rate e can be expressed in terms of stress σ, elapsed time t, and (Celsius) snow temperature T

A New Model for Void Coalescence by Internal Necking [PDF]
A micromechanical model for predicting the strain increment required to bring a damaged material element from the onset of void coalescence up to final fracture is developed based on simple kinematics arguments.

Evaluation of fracture strain of aluminium film by multilayer bulge method
As semiconductors become more capacitive and sophisticated, 3D packaging technology is gaining increased attention. Since multiple chips are stacked in such configurations, the wiring structure becomes more complex, leading to stress concentration.

Fracture healing monitored with strain gauges [PDF]
We measured healing in 7 cases of surgical neck fracture of the humerus by applying a strain gauge measuring bar between the external fixation pins. Repeated measurements provided a healing curve for the individual cases. The gradual decrease in deflection of the fracture zone reached a plateau of about 50 percent after 2 to 4 weeks in 6 cases. Mechanical performance and fracture behavior of Fe₄₁Co₇Cr₁₅Mo₁₄Y₂C₁₅B₆ bulk metallic glass
The mechanical properties of a new Fe₄₁Co₇Cr₁₅Mo₁₄Y₂C₁₅B₆ bulk glassy alloy were studied by impact bending, compression, and hardness tests carried out at room temperature.
