Reservoir Simulation in Heterogeneous and Fractured Reservoirs
Summary of the thesis This thesis addresses simulation of flow and transport of fluids and fluid components in heterogeneous and fractured porous media. Reservoir simulation is a key component in several engineering applications, such as oil recovery, groundwater hydrology, nuclear waste disposal, and geological CO2 storage.

Abstract Background Studies show increased use of home enteral nutrition (HEN) owing to its benefits. However, knowledge about the sanitary risks of handling home‐prepared formulas remains limited despite their high contamination rates. This study aimed to assess the sanitary risks in the handling of home‐prepared enteral formulations by analyzing ...

Abstract Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) has been shown to be effective for surveying and monitoring dams, due to the method's sensitivity to moisture content and relevant physical properties (e.g., porosity). Automated ERT systems, capable of time‐lapse monitoring, can be used to detect variations in ground conditions.
