Seismic risk assessment of RC curved bridges through fragility curves
IABSE Reports, 2019<p>It is of great importance that traffic network is still functioning in post- earthquake period, so that interventions in emergency situations are not delayed. Bridges are part of the traffic system that can be considered as critical for adequate post-earthquake response.

Influential Curved Steel Bridge Fragility Analysis Parameters
Forensic Engineering 2012, 2012Past earthquakes have highlighted the susceptibility of curved steel girder bridges to damage from seismic events in the United States. One major part of a regional vulnerability assessment of these bridges could be the completion of sensitivity analyses that assist with identifying their influential seismic response parameters.

Empirical fragility curves for Italian URM buildings
Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering, 2020This paper illustrates the derivation of an empirical fragility model for residential unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings, calibrated on Italian post-earthquake damage data and compatible with the key features of the Italian national seismic risk platform.

Fragility curves for structures under tsunami loading
Natural Hazards, 2015Susceptibility to structural damage can be characterized by a fragility curve, which is expressed as a normal or lognormal cumulative distribution of the conditional probabilities of reaching or exceeding a particular damage state, for given values of the demand parameter.

Lineation of the Osmotic Fragility Curve of Erythrocytes
Scandinavian Journal of Haematology, 1980Lineation of the osmotic fragility curve by the method of Detraglia et al (1974) may be performed in most samples from a hospital population. Using the lineation procedure, the osmotic fragility may be tested by only 2 solutions of known osmolarity without any great loss of precision or accuracy. The osmotic fragility curve may be described by 2 values:

Fire resistance evaluation through fragility curves
2017Since the FSE has been introduced, designers have been equipped with tools that allow optimising the performance of structures in fire. Vulnerability assessment, evaluated by stochastic approach has become of increasing interest in the international research, also driven by insurance company needs. The paper shows the application of probabilistic tools

Seismic fragility curves for soft-storey buildings
Buildings with a soft-storey are notoriously vulnerable to collapse under strong earthquake shaking. However, a building subject to a small or moderate magnitude earthquake has a fair chance of survival depending on the drift demand on the softstorey. This paper presents fragility curves which define the probability of collapse of a soft-storey column ...Rodsin, Kittipoom +3 more
