Trk activation in the secretory pathway promotes Golgi fragmentation
Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, 2010Activation of nascent receptor tyrosine kinases within the secretory pathway has been reported, yet the consequences of intracellular activation are largely unexplored. We report that overexpression of the Trk neurotrophin receptors causes accumulation of autoactivated receptors in the ER-Golgi intermediate compartment.

Electron ionization induced fragmentation pathways of trichloroanisole
Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2023This work probes electron-driven ionization of TCA. New fragment ions are identified by mass spectrometry and experimental appearance energies show excellent agreement with calculated threshold energies for the most significant pathways.

Fragmentation pathways of protonated peptides
Mass Spectrometry Reviews, 2004AbstractThe fragmentation pathways of protonated peptides are reviewed in the present paper paying special attention to classification of the known fragmentation channels into a simple hierarchy defined according to the chemistry involved. It is shown that the ‘mobile proton’ model of peptide fragmentation can be used to understand the MS/MS spectra of

Fragmentation pathways of polymer ions
Mass Spectrometry Reviews, 2011AbstractTandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) is increasingly applied to synthetic polymers to characterize chain‐end or in‐chain substituents, distinguish isobaric and isomeric species, and determine macromolecular connectivities and architectures. For confident structural assignments, the fragmentation mechanisms of polymer ions must be understood, as ...

Photocycloaddition-fragmentation route to quinanes: Alternate fragmentation pathways
Tetrahedron Letters, 1995Abstract We describe here a new type of fragmentation pathway leading to diquinane skeletons, where the normal reactivity of the systems is dramatically altered by a suitably positioned radical stabilizing groups.

MULTIPLE PATHWAYS FOR APOPTOTIC NUCLEAR FRAGMENTATION
Biochemical Society Transactions, 1996We analyzed the ultrastructure of apoptotic nuclear fragmentation in U937 cells treated with many different apoptogenic agents. We found that this characteristic apoptotic feature can be achieved through multiple alternative pathways, depending on the apoptogenic inducer, leading to slightly different final nuclear morphologies.

Fragmentation pathways of deprotonated ortho‐hydroxybenzyl alcohol
Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2022AbstractThe ortho, meta, and para isomers of hydroxybenzyl alcohol can be unequivocally distinguished by the collision‐induced dissociation mass spectra of their anions. The presence of a prominent peak at m/z 121 for an elimination of a dihydrogen molecule renders the ortho‐isomer spectrum markedly different from those of its meta and para congeners ...
