KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

ImproveYourVideos: Architectural Improvements for Text-to-Video Generation Pipeline

open access: yesIEEE Access
In recent years, text-to-video models have made impressive strides toward producing high-quality results. However, the architectural aspects of these models remain largely unexplored, as prior studies have used well-known approaches that offer minimal ...

Spin Glasses

open access: yes, 2005
This is a short review about recent methods and results, mostly for mean field spin glasses, based on interpolation and comparison schemes. In particular, the Parisi spontaneous replica symmetry breaking phenomenon is described in the frame of extended ...

HIV‐1 establishes immediate latency in T cells expressing the viral Nef protein

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Nef is a viral protein often omitted from HIV‐1 reporter viruses. Consequently, its role in viral latency is unclear. We developed three novel dual reporter HIV‐1 derivatives that express Nef and allow for detection of latent and productive infection. Using these reporters, we show that Nef does not affect the establishment of immediate viral latency ...

Interpolating Scattering Amplitudes between Instant Form and Front Form of Relativistic Dynamics

open access: yes, 2012
Among the three forms of relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics proposed by Dirac in 1949, the instant form and the front form can be interpolated by introducing an interpolation angle between the ordinary time $t$ and the light-front time $(t+z/c)/\sqrt{2}$.

Preferences for post‐traumatic osteoarthritis prevention strategies in individuals with anterior cruciate ligament injury

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives There is growing interest in evaluating new strategies to delay or prevent post‐traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) in individuals who have sustained anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. This study sought to determine characteristics of potential treatments that are acceptable to patients with ACL injury.

Frame-Adaptive Distortion Estimation for Motion Compensated Interpolated Frame [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Korea Contents Association, 2012
Video FRUC (Frame Rate Up Conversion) has been a technique of great interest due to its diversified applications in consumer electronics. Most advanced FRUC algorithms adopt a motion interpolation technique to determine the motion vector field of interpolated frames.

Adaptable Tile‐Based Pneumatic Origami through Structurally Coupled Localized Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents tile‐based pneumatic origami structures with rigid tiles and flexible fabric creases, achieving adaptable properties including morphing shape, selective multistability, and tunable stiffness. Independently pressurized folding bladders at each crease enable structurally coupled localized actuation of origami structures.
