Selection of EAP-authentication methods in WLANs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
IEEE 802.1X is a key part of IEEE802.11i. By employing Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) it supports a variety of upper layer authentication methods each with different benefits and drawbacks.

The Route to Artery Mimetics: Hybrid Bioinks for Embedded Bioprinting of Multimaterial Cylindrical Models

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The fabrication of a cellularized, multilayered 3D printed cylindrical model comprising hybrid bioinks inspired by the natural extracellular environment as an approach to artery mimetics, is presented. Using embedded bioprinting, interlayer crosslinking of self‐supporting concentric cylinders is achieved.

Frame error model in rural Wi-Fi networks

open access: yes2007 5th International Symposium on Modeling and Optimization in Mobile, Ad Hoc and Wireless Networks and Workshops, 2007
Commonly used frame loss models for simulations over Wi-Fi channels assume a simple double regression model with threshold. This model is widely accepted, but few measurements are available in the literature that try to validate it. As far as we know, none of them is based on field trials at the frame level.

Multifunctional Hydroxyapatite Coated with Gallium Liquid Metal‐Based Silver Nanoparticles for Infection Prevention and Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating integrated with silver‐gallium liquid metal nanoparticles (HAp‐Ag‐GaNPs) exhibits dual antibacterial and osteogenic properties. It effectively inhibits Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, including resistant strains, while enhancing bone regeneration.

Investigating the Structure–Function Relationships of Fluorinated Interfaces for PFAS Capture and Electrochemically‐Mediated Release

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the use of fluorinated copolymers with varying fluorophilic side chain lengths to enhance PFAS affinity. The integration of electrochemical techniques demonstrates enhanced adsorbent regeneration, with molecular dynamics simulations providing insight into the molecular‐level interactions involved.

Transient Stiffness Patterning in Hydrogels Driven by Dissipative Mechanochemical Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Force‐induced disulfide bond rupture in a polymer‐based hydrogel, coupled with chemical or electrochemical reoxidation, leads to the transient modulation of the hydrogel's stiffness properties. High spatiotemporal control is achieved by this dissipative process, enabling the development of out‐of‐equilibrium stiffness patterns and transient, dose ...
