Deep Network-Based Frame Extrapolation With Reference Frame Alignment

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2021
Frame extrapolation is to predict future frames from the past (reference) frames, which has been studied intensively in the computer vision research and has great potential in video coding. Recently, a number of studies have been devoted to the use of deep networks for frame extrapolation, which achieves certain success. However, due to the complex and

Message Framing in Social Networking Sites

Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, 2013
Online social networking sites represent significant new opportunities for Internet advertisers. However, results based on the real world cannot be generalized to all virtual worlds. In this research, the moderating effects of need for cognition (NFC) and knowledge were applied to examine the impact of message framing on attitudes toward social ...

Networked Gatekeeping and Networked Framing on #Egypt

The International Journal of Press/Politics, 2013
Using prior seminal work that places emphasis on news framing and its relevance to sociocultural context, this study describes, maps, and explains evolving patterns of communication on Twitter through the events of the 2011 Egyptian uprisings, which led to the resignation of President Mubarak.

Frame management in wireless networks

2017 Fourteenth International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN), 2017
The analysis of frames transmitted in 802.11a/n/ac demonstrates performance degradation when many devices need to transfer large data volumes. Furthermore, despite the frame aggregation implemented by newer standards (802.11n/ac), the same performance degradation was observed.

Framing and Immigration: New Frames in Media and Social Networks

2021
Spain continues to be an attractive destination for the migration of people from all over the world. The presence of immigrants implies an interaction with local people, being able to modify social, cultural and political dynamics; and provoke conflict.

Frame-Transformer Emotion Classification Network

Proceedings of the 2017 ACM on International Conference on Multimedia Retrieval, 2017
Emotional content is a key ingredient in user-generated videos. However, due to the emotion sparsely expressed in the user-generated video, it is very difficult to analayze emotions in videos. In this paper, we propose a new architecture--Frame-Transformer Emotion Classification Network (FT-EC-net) to solve three highly correlated emotion analysis ...

Zonal function network frames on the sphere

Neural Networks, 2003
We introduce a class of zonal function network frames suitable for analyzing data collected at scattered sites on the surface of the unit sphere of a Euclidean space. Our frames consist of zonal function networks and are well localized. The frames belonging to higher and higher scale wavelet spaces have more and more vanishing polynomial moments.
