On the duality of c-fusion frames in Hilbert spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Improving and extending the concept of dual for frames, fusion frames and continuous frames, the notion of dual for continuous fusion frames in Hilbert spaces will be studied. It will be shown that generally the dual of c-fusion frames may not be defined.

Stereotactic radiosurgery for multiple small brain metastases using gamma knife versus single‐isocenter VMAT: Normal brain dose based on lesion number and size

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The study evaluates rapid linear accelerator (Linac) single isocenter stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) with Hyperarc for large target numbers. We compared to Gamma Knife (GK), which suffers from long treatment times and investigated causes of differences. Methods Linac SRS and GK treatment plans for patients receiving 18 Gy to the gross

Reporting from the Field: The Narrative Reconstruction of Experience in Pick-up Artist Online Communities

open access: yesOpen Linguistics, 2016
This study focuses on the reconstruction of experience in the online environment of the Pick-up Artist (PUA) community forums and aims to uncover yet another facet of personal narrative, namely the role and performance of framing in the reporting of ...

On weaving frames in Hilbert spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In this paper, we obtain some new properties of weaving frames and present some conditions under which a family of frames is woven in Hilbert spaces. Some characterizations of weaving frames in terms of operators are given. We also give a condition associated with synthesis operators of frames such that the sequence of frames is woven.

Evaluation of dosimetric and spatial accuracy of a virtual cone technique for radiosurgery using linac‐integrated CBCT‐based polymer gel dosimetry

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study evaluates the dosimetric and geometric precision of a virtual cone technique using CBCT‐based polymer gel dosimetry, enabling radiation delivery, and imaging readout within an identical spatial coordinate system. Methods We created a C# script for a virtual cone technique that generates a treatment plan with 10 gantry arcs ...

Connotation Frames of Power and Agency in Modern Films

open access: yesConference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing, 2017
The framing of an action influences how we perceive its actor. We introduce connotation frames of power and agency, a pragmatic formalism organized using frame semantic representations, to model how different levels of power and agency are implicitly ...

Probabilistic Dual Frames and Minimization of Dual Frame Potentials [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper studies probabilistic dual frames and associated dual frame potentials from the optimal mass transport perspective. The main contribution in this work shows that given a probabilistic frame, its dual frame potential is minimized if and only if the probabilistic frame is tight and the probabilistic dual frame is the canonical dual.

Evaluation of the system accuracy of frameless stereotactic radiosurgery using a combination of cone beam CT, six degrees of freedom couch, and surface image‐guided systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of the frameless linear accelerator‐based stereotactic radiosurgery (FSRS) system incorporating cone‐beam CT (CBCT), six degrees of freedom (6‐DoF) couch, room laser, and surface image‐guided (SG) systems.

Fast, automated optimization of virtual monoenergetic images with the dual‐energy image synthesizer for cone‐beam CT

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Dual‐energy cone‐beam CT (DE‐CBCT) has become subject of recent interest due to the ability to produce virtual monoenergetic images (VMIs) with improved soft‐tissue contrast and reduced nonuniformity artifacts. However, efficient production and optimization of VMIs remains an under‐explored part of DE‐CBCT's application.
