Strengthened Interfacial Coupling Between Self‐Assembled Monolayers and Bulk Heterojunctions Enables Thermally Stable Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecularly engineered self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) featuring extended conjugated terminals facilitate superior interfacial coupling with the organic solar cell active layer. By physically anchoring the local morphology, this design suppresses thermal degradation, allowing devices to operate at 85°C for 150 h before degrading to 90% of their ...

Optimized PAR-2 RING dimerization mediates cooperative and selective membrane binding for robust cell polarity

open access: yesThe EMBO Journal
Cell polarity networks are defined by quantitative features of their constituent feedback circuits, which must be tuned to enable robust and stable polarization, while also ensuring that networks remain responsive to dynamically changing cellular states ...

Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.

Additive‐Manufactured, Multifunctional Bioreactor Technology for Dynamic Culture of 3D Bioprinted Tissue Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...

The Evolution of Aerosol Jet Printing, A Review: Enhancing Material Versatility and Improvements for Next‐Generation Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Aerosol Jet Printing (AJP) has emerged as a versatile additive manufacturing technique for high‐resolution, conformal, and multi‐material printing. This review highlights advances in printable materials, substrate compatibility, post‐processing, characterization, and process innovations, while critically discussing current challenges and future ...

CK-666 and CK-869 differentially inhibit Arp2/3 iso-complexes

open access: yesEMBO Reports
The inhibitors, CK-666 and CK-869, are widely used to probe the function of Arp2/3 complex mediated actin nucleation in vitro and in cells. However, in mammals, the Arp2/3 complex consists of 8 iso-complexes, as three of its subunits (Arp3, ArpC1, ArpC5)
