United Kingdom: Political Developments and Data in 2024

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Political Research Political Data Yearbook, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 637-652, December 2025.

CAMELIA: Enhancing species assemblage predictions by integrating structural and functional indices: A case study on plant communities in the French Alps

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 11, Page 2694-2709, November 2025.
Abstract Addressing the challenge of predicting biodiversity requires models that fully capture the complex dynamics of species and communities. While species distribution models (SDMs) predict individual species' distributions based on environmental variables, they often fail to reconstruct realistic communities.

Cardiovascular disease as a mediator in the relationship between lifestyle risk factors and cognitive outcomes: a scoping review

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Dementia is a major global health challenge and lifestyle modification is a key prevention strategy. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is hypothesized to mediate lifestyle–dementia relationships, but empirical evidence is unclear. Mediation analysis offers insight into causal mechanisms beyond traditional associations.

The Dual Pathways to Masculinity Threats: The Roles of Social Role Incongruity and Social Connection in Masculine Identity Maintenance Among Gay and Straight Men

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, Volume 55, Issue 5, Page 789-806, August 2025.

Social identities provide a mechanism through which to monitor belonging, shaping how people understand and see themselves, as well as how they are perceived by others. This large qualitative study (n = 203) presents a

Impacts of proactive health management on cattle and horse diets and dung biodiversity in Danish rewilding areas

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 62, Issue 8, Page 1856-1877, August 2025.
Our findings demonstrate functional differences between cattle and horses, which suggest complementary effects on vegetation development and consequently biodiversity. Also, our results indicate that this functionality is impacted by proactive health management actions.
