Flow Regulation in a T‐Shaped Mixing Channel Using a Proportional‐Integral‐Derivative Controller

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This study investigates mixed convection in a 2D T‐shaped channel with a heated cylinder, employing a PID controller to regulate airflow and maintain consistent outlet temperatures. Using the Galerkin finite element method (GFEM), the effects of varying PID parameters on system stability and response time are analysed.

An Experimental Test of Hydropower Entrainment Risk for Subadult Sea‐Run Brown Trout (Aka Blenkje; Salmo trutta)

open access: yesEcohydrology, Volume 18, Issue 8, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Brown trout play an important role in the northeastern Atlantic aquatic ecosystems, moving between freshwater and marine environments to maximize fitness across their lives. The blenkje (aka finnock) is a life stage of migratory brown trout that returns to freshwater after its first summer migration to sea without maturing.

Third‐Party Market Cooperation and Non‐Chinese Multinational Enterprises' Participation in the Belt and Road Initiative in Sub‐Saharan Africa

open access: yesThunderbird International Business Review, Volume 67, Issue 6, Page 665-679, November/December 2025.
ABSTRACT Non‐Chinese multinational enterprises (MNE) are wondering whether China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA) creates challenges or opportunities for them. The fuzzy term “third‐party market cooperation” was coined to involve non‐Chinese MNEs in BRI‐related business opportunities. Our contribution is threefold: First, we
