Smile Asymmetry and Eyelid Closure Following Temporalis Muscle Transfer for Facial Reanimation: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis
The Laryngoscope, EarlyView. This systematic review and meta‐analysis of 53 studies and 1354 patients evaluates the outcomes of temporalis muscle transfer in facial nerve paralysis. Our results show that temporalis muscle transfer can restore smile asymmetry, oral commissure movement, and eyelid closure—findings that are translated to clinician‐rated assessments.Amirpouyan Namavarian, Jonathan M. Macromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.Nanogels presenting α‐galactose and β‐fucose can significantly alter Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm dynamics through their interaction with lectins. Application timing is crucial: pre‐treatment reduces biofilm, while treatment after biofilm initiation increases biomass.Sophia Rosencrantz, Jo Sing Julia Tang, Karina Koenig, Sany Chea, Ruben R. People and Nature, EarlyView.Abstract Farming systems face an increasing sustainability challenge requiring integrated solutions to minimize the trade‐offs between the social, ecological and economic dimensions of sustainability. Yet, most research remains siloed, limiting interdisciplinary understanding of farming systems as coupled social‐ecological systems (SESs) and precluding Neema R. Kinabo, Dominic A. PLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.Ambitious targets have been set to backup seeds of threatened plants by the global strategy for plant conservation (GSPC), but it is unclear in how far these targets have been met and how seed collection should be organized to meet future challenges. Here, we provide an overview of the status of 44 countries in achieving seed conservation targets.Andreas Ensslin, Adelaide Clemente, Udayangani Liu, Elke Zippel, Carla Pinto‐Cruz, Carolina Sanchez Romero, Simone Schneider, Agustí Agut Escrig, Charlotte Allender, Külli Annamaa, Marina Antic, Bertille Asset, Gianluigi Bacchetta, Oz Baranzani, Anamaria Barata, Philippe Bardin, Joze Bavcon, Anabela D.
