ABSTRACT In finfish aquaculture, there are several inflammatory diseases impacting productivity and animal welfare, however there are limited options available to veterinarians to treat inflammation and pain in fish. Nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used in terrestrial animals raised for human consumption to treat a range of ...

ABSTRACT Helminths modulate host immunity, and in this respect, the porcine whipworm Trichuris suis has been explored clinically as an immunotherapy for inflammatory diseases. T. suis secretes a complex mixture of excretory/secretory products (ESP), including extracellular vesicles (EVs), nanosized membranous particles with bioactive cargoes of lipids,

Cauchy-Binet type formulas for Fredholm operators [PDF]
Suppose A ∈ L(Y ,Z ) , B ∈ L(X ,Y ) are Fredholm operators acting in linear spaces. By referring to the correspondence between Fredholm operators and their determinant systems, we derive the formulas for a determinant system for AB which are expressed ...

Linear statistics of random matrix ensembles at the spectrum edge associated with the Airy kernel
In this paper, we study the large N behavior of the moment-generating function (MGF) of the linear statistics of N×N Hermitian matrices in the Gaussian unitary, symplectic, orthogonal ensembles (GUE, GSE, GOE) and Laguerre unitary, symplectic, orthogonal

Quantum Gravity Microstates from Fredholm Determinants [PDF]
A large class of two dimensional quantum gravity theories of Jackiw-Teitelboim form have a description in terms of random matrix models. Such models, treated fully non-perturbatively, can give an explicit and tractable description of the underlying ``microstate'' degrees of freedom.

Edge Density Expansions for the Classical Gaussian and Laguerre Ensembles
ABSTRACT Recent work of Bornemann has uncovered hitherto hidden integrable structures relating to the asymptotic expansion of quantities at the soft edge of the Gaussian and Laguerre random matrix ensembles. These quantities are spacing distributions and the eigenvalue density, and the findings cover the cases of the three symmetry classes: orthogonal,

Fredholm determinants, differential equations and matrix models [PDF]
Orthogonal polynomial random matrix models of NxN hermitian matrices lead to Fredholm determinants of integral operators with kernel of the form (phi(x) psi(y) - psi(x) phi(y))/x-y. This paper is concerned with the Fredholm determinants of integral operators having kernel of this form and where the underlying set is a union of open intervals.

Simple homotopy theory for Fukaya categories
Abstract We develop a categorical framework for simple homotopy theory in Fukaya categories, based on the fundamental group of the ambient symplectic manifold. When the first Chern class vanishes, we show that any isomorphism in the Fukaya category of a Weinstein manifold has trivial Whitehead torsion.
