Maxwell Fronts in the Discrete Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations With Competing Nonlinearities
ABSTRACT In discrete nonlinear systems, the study of nonlinear waves has revealed intriguing phenomena in various fields such as nonlinear optics, biophysics, and condensed matter physics. Discrete nonlinear Schrödinger (DNLS) equations are often employed to model these dynamics, particularly in the context of Bose–Einstein condensates and optical ...

Rigidity of anti‐de Sitter (2+1)‐spacetimes with convex boundary near the Fuchsian locus
Abstract We prove that globally hyperbolic compact anti‐de Sitter (2+1)‐spacetimes with a strictly convex spacelike boundary that is either smooth or polyhedral and whose holonomy is close to Fuchsian are determined by the induced metric on the boundary.

Fredholm properties of Toeplitz operators on Dirichlet spaces [PDF]
The author analyzes Toeplitz operators on Dirichlet spaces and computes spectra of Toeplitz operators with symbols in \(C^1,H^\infty_1+ C^1\). Let \(D\) be the unit disk in the complex plane \(\mathbb{C}\), \(dA={1\over \pi} dx dy\) be the normalized area measure on \(D\). \(L^{2,1}\) is the space of functions \(u:D\to\mathbb{C}\), for which the norm \[

Large‐Amplitude Periodic Solutions to the Steady Euler Equations With Piecewise Constant Vorticity
ABSTRACT We consider steady solutions to the incompressible Euler equations in a two‐dimensional channel with rigid walls. The flow consists of two periodic layers of constant vorticity separated by an unknown interface. Using global bifurcation theory, we rigorously construct curves of solutions that terminate either with stagnation on the interface ...

Abstract figure legend Detrusor smooth muscle surrounding the urinary bladder produces transient pressure events essential for sensing bladder fullness during the filling phase. We investigated the role of adenosine, a ubiquitous signalling molecule, in regulating bladder smooth muscle function.

The authors have previously studied two - dimensional Fredholm integral operators with homogeneous kernels of fiber - singular type. For this class of operators, the symbolic calculus is built using the theory of biloc al operators by V.

On fredholm property of a periodic type boundary value problem
Summary: In the paper we study Fredholm property of a boundary value problem in a finite domain of a class of second-order differential equation of elliptic type in a separable Hilbert space. Sufficient conditions that provide regular and Fredholm solvability of the given problem, are found. These conditions are expressed only by the coefficients.

A New Wavelet Method for Solving a Class of Nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm Integral Equations
A new approach, Coiflet-type wavelet Galerkin method, is proposed for numerically solving the Volterra-Fredholm integral equations. Based on the Coiflet-type wavelet approximation scheme, arbitrary nonlinear term of the unknown function in an equation ...

On the Fredholm Property of the Trace Operators Associated with the Elastic Layer Potentials
We deal with the system of equations of linear elastostatics, governing the equilibrium configurations of a linearly elastic body. We recall the basics of the theory of the elastic layer potentials and we extend the trace operators associated with the ...
