Multiobjective Optimization of Hydrogen‐Assisted Calophyllum inophyllum Biodiesel Operation in a Compression Ignition Engine

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 2897-2929, June 2026.
Tri‐fuel diesel–Calophyllum inophyllum biodiesel–hydrogen operation was tested over 96 points in a diesel engine. Eight performance and emission metrics feed a preference‐agnostic Bootstrapped Empirical Multiobjective Ranking and Selection methodology, revealing load‐blend‐hydrogen windows that increase efficiency, restrain smoke, and expose NOx trade ...

Nonthermal Food Processing Technologies: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesFuture Postharvest and Food, Volume 3, Issue 2, Page 124-141, June 2026.
The graphical abstract illustrates the shift from traditional thermal food preservation methods to advanced nonthermal technologies. Traditional methods, represented by heating, often compromise the nutritional and sensory quality of foods. In contrast, nonthermal approaches such as high‐pressure processing (HPP), pulsed electric field (PEF ...

Biomaterial Physical Cues as Gene Regulators for Cellular Agriculture

open access: yesAdvanced Genetics, Volume 7, Issue 2, June 2026.
This review elucidates how biomaterial physical cues—ranging from matrix stiffness to remote electromagnetic fields—serve as extrinsic regulators of gene expression in cellular agriculture. By identifying central mechanotransduction pathways that bridge physical inputs to genetic remodeling, the authors propose the “Material Genome” concept: a ...

The Use of FN‐Silk Networks as Extracellular Matrix‐Mimicking Support for 3D In Vitro Breast Cancer Models Improved the Model's Reproducibility in Drug Sensitivity

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
Chemotherapy treatment experiments were conducted on three breast cancer cell lines cultured in 2D, spheroids, and the novel 3D support: FN‐silk networks. The breast cancer cells cultured in FN‐silk networks were generally less sensitive to the drugs tested, compared to 2D cultures, potentially giving higher clinical relevance.
