Fast‐Charging of Solid‐State Batteries Enabled by Functional Additives Infused into High‐Mass‐Loading Nickel Manganese Cobalt Cathodes

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Bottlebrush polymer additives offer a versatile and robust solution to the fundamental transport and contact challenges in all‐solid‐state lithium metal batteries. In this work, high mass loading nickel manganese cobalt cathodes with various polymer additives are prepared, and the electrochemical properties are investigated.

Setting up mother–infant pair lactation studies with biobanking for research according to regulatory requirements

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Within the ConcePTION project we set out to design two mother–infant pair studies collecting breast milk and plasma from the mother and plasma from the infant (for metformin and prednisolone) in order to demonstrate the premises and conditions for investigating potential drug transfer in association with breastfeeding.

A note on global warfare in pharmaceutical patenting [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper revisits the question of whether global welfare is higher under a uniform world-wide system of pharmaceutical product patents or with international rules allowing low-income nations to free-ride on the discoveries of firms in rich nations. Key

Population pharmacokinetics of levofloxacin in breastmilk in patients with rifampicin‐resistant tuberculosis

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Levofloxacin is a widely used antibiotic included in rifampicin‐resistant tuberculosis (RR‐TB) treatment. Data describing levofloxacin concentrations in breastmilk and infant exposure are limited. We analysed data from two South African studies of breastfeeding women receiving levofloxacin (750–1000 mg daily) for RR‐TB.

Sequential Teamwork in Competitive Environments: Theory and Evidence from Swimming Data [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of the paper is to assess whether there is free-riding in teams when team production is sequential and when there is competition between teams. This a common case, which, however, has not been considered in the literature so far.

Population pharmacokinetic modelling of amoxicillin in human breast milk—A contribution from the ConcePTION project

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims Amoxicillin, a widely used β‐lactam antibiotic, requires improved pharmacokinetic characterization during breastfeeding. This study used a population pharmacokinetic (PopPK) approach to model amoxicillin concentrations in breast milk, identify variability sources and estimate infant exposure, applying worst‐case scenarios.
