On the free loop spaces of a toric space

Boletin De La Sociedad Matematica Mexicana, 2016
A moment-angle complex (a special case of a polyhedral product) is a space parametrized by a simplicial complex and equipped with a torus action. The main example is the moment-angle complex \(Z_K =(D^2, S^1)^K\) [\textit{V. M. Buchstaber} and \textit{T. E. Panov}, Toric topology.

Homotopy orbits of free loop spaces [PDF]

open access: yesFundamenta Mathematicae, 1999
Let X be a space with free loop space ΛX and mod two cohomology R = H*X. We construct functors Ωλ(R) and ℓ(R) together with algebra homomorphisms e:Ωλ(R)→H∗(ΛX) and ψ:ℓ(R)→H∗(ES1×S1ΛX). When X is 1-connected and R is a symmetric algebra we show that these are isomorphisms.

Equivariant evaluation on free loop spaces

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 2002
For each positive integer \(k\), let us consider the evaluation map \(\Lambda X \to X^k\) which sends a loop to its values at the \(k\)-th roots of unity \(\in S^1=\{\alpha\in \mathbb C:|\alpha |=1\}\), where \(\Lambda X\) denotes the free loop space on \(X\). Since this map is equivariant with respect to the action of the cyclic group \(C_k\) of \(k\)

The Exponential Map on the Free Loop Space is Fredholm

Geometric and Functional Analysis, 1997
In the main result of the paper, sufficient conditions for the exponential map of an infinite-dimensional Riemannian (Hilbert) manifold to be a nonlinear Fredholm map of index zero are given. This result can be applied to the free loop space of a finite-dimensional manifold.
