Abstract Fostering pro‐conservation attitudes and behaviour is essential to mitigating biodiversity decline. Biophobia—negative emotional responses, such as fear and disgust, towards living organisms—can shape these attitudes, but its effects remain poorly understood.

We propose to approximate the Meixner model by a member of the B-family introduced in [Kuz10a]. The advantage of such approximations are the semi-explicit formulas for the running extrema under the B-family processes which enables us to produce more ...

Series Solution to a Fuchsian‐Type Differential Equation in Terms of Orthogonal Polynomials
In this paper, we study a thirteen‐parameter Fuchsian‐type second‐order linear differential equation that involves five regular singularities. By employing a tridiagonal representation technique, we formulate four cases under which the series solutions of the equation are obtained in terms of Jacobi polynomials.

The Meixner-Pollaczek and Meixner Polynomials in Discrete Quantum Mechanics
In this paper the Meixner-Pollaczek and Meixner polynomials are used to solve the Schrödinger difference equation in discrete quantum mechanics for particular potentials. Shift operators and difference operators defining discrete quantum mechanical model

ABSTRACT Body composition is an important health parameter during childhood and adolescence. In this study, we investigate the associations between body composition and age, physical activity, side jump, standing long jump, physical working capacity at 170 beats per minute pulse, screen time, and socioeconomic status in a nationwide German sample.

Abstract The article explores the harrowing use of sexual violence as a tool in the ethnic cleansing of Germans in post‐World War II Czechoslovakia. By examining the grim realities of internment camps, prisons, and border regions, it reveals a disturbing pattern of abuse aimed primarily at German women by Czech men.

Multivariable Meixner, Krawtchouk, and Meixner–Pollaczek polynomials
A multivariable biorthogonal generalization of the Meixner, Krawtchouk, and Meixner–Pollaczek polynomials is presented. It is shown that these are orthogonal with respect to subspaces of lower degree and biorthogonal within a given subspace.
