Direct products of free groups in Aut(F_N)
We give a complete description of the embeddings of direct products of nonabelian free groups into Aut(FN) and Out(FN) when the number of direct factors is maximal.

On the girth of finitely generated groups
We study the notion of girth for finitely generated groups. It is proved that if the girth is ‘small’ then the group necessarily satisfies a law. A general construction is presented which provides examples of groups with infinite girth not containing ...

On minimal finite factor groups of outer automophism groups of free groups
We prove that, for n=3 and 4, the minimal nonabelian finite factor group of the outer automorphism group Out F_n of a free group of rank n is the linear group PSL_n(Z_2) (conjecturally, this may remain true for arbitrary rank n > 2).

Restriction Problem for Anisotropic Principal Series of Free Groups
LetΓ0be a nonabelian free group and letπbe an anisotropic principal series representation ofΓ0. Exclude endpoint representations. Consider the restriction ofπto any cofinite subgroup.

Algebraic & definable closure in free groups
We study algebraic closure and its relation with definable closure in free groups and more generally in torsion-free hyperbolic groups. Given a torsion-free hyperbolic group G and a nonabelian subgroup A of G, we describe G as a constructible group from ...

The Tarski Theorems and Elementary Free Groups (Algebras, logics, languages and related areas) [PDF]
Around 1945, Alfred Tarski proposed several questions concerning the elementary theory of non-abelian free groups. These remained open for 60 years until they were proved by O. Kharlampovich and A. Myasnikov and independently by Z. Sela.

Fixed-point free pairs of homomorphisms and nonabelian Hopf-Galois structure
Given finite groups Γ and G of order n, regular embeddings from Γ to the holomorph of G yield Hopf-Galois structures on a Galois extension L|K of fields with Galois group Γ.
