Development of a DNA-encoded library screening method “DEL Zipper” to empower the study of RNA-targeted chemical matter

open access: yesSLAS Discovery
To date, RNA-targeted chemical matter is under explored due to a lack of robust screening assays. In this study, we present a novel RNA-targeted small molecule screening approach using a specialized DNA-encoded library (DEL). Our findings reveal that the

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Identification and validation of biomarkers related to mitochondria-associated endoplasmic reticulum membranes in type 2 diabetes mellitus using peripheral blood transcriptomics

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research
Background The pathological hallmarks of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are impaired insulin sensitivity and insufficient insulin secretion. As the primary insulin source, pancreatic β-cell decline or dysfunction is key to T2DM progression.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Implications of Anaphylaxis Following mRNA-LNP Vaccines: It Is Urgent to Eliminate PEG and Find Alternatives

open access: yesPharmaceutics
The mRNA vaccine has protected humans from the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and has taken the lead in reversing the epidemic efficiently. However, the Centre of Disease Control (CDC) reported and raised the alarm of allergic or acute inflammatory ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
