Real‐World Experience With Oleogel‐S10 for Wounds in Epidermolysis Bullosa

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oleogel‐S10 is the first approved drug for the treatment of wounds in patients with junctional and dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa. Results from the clinical trials, early access programme and open‐label study are available, showing good safety and tolerability and a positive effect on the overall wound surface.

Adjunctive Botulinum Toxin Type A for Bruxism and Sweat‐Worsened Facial Blistering in Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa: A Case Series

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Capsule Summary Bruxism and sweat‐induced facial blisters can affect patients with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB) quality of life (QoL). We present the outcomes of orofacial BTX‐A infiltrations to treat these conditions. Three patients with severe RDEB, bruxism and microstomia received BTX‐A infiltrations (50U‐100U) in masseters and ...

Impairment in quality of life with different sport orthopaedic musculoskeletal injuries—A comprehensive analysis of the German arthroscopy register

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The aim of this study was to identify the impairment of quality of life (QoL) for different sport orthopaedic injuries prior to surgery in Germany and build a baseline dataset for these injuries. Methods Data from the German arthroscopy registry (DART) between November 2017 and January 2025 were used.

Enrichment of Hyaluronic Acid Binding Tumor Cells by Modulation of Selective Adhesion on Microgel Surfaces

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
We have developed a thermoresponsive microgel system for the selective enrichment of hyaluronic acid‐binding tumor cells. By modulating the adhesion on the microgel surface via temperature changes from 37°C to 30°C, we demonstrate a novel proof‐of‐principle for separating these tumor cell from white blood cells, which has potential applications in ...

Diacetylene‐Functionalized Glycan Mimetics for Receptor‐Mediated Cluster Imprinting in Model Membranes

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Diacetylene‐containing glycan mimetics cluster upon selective lectin binding in GUVs. Subsequent irradiation leads to the formation of fluorescent polymer clusters, while non‐clustered glycan mimetics remain unaffected in the membrane. ABSTRACT The glycocalyx, a dense layer of glycoproteins and glycolipids on eukaryotic cells, is essential for cellular

Effects of Pallidal Deep Brain Stimulation on Speech and Swallowing in Pediatric Patients with Dystonia

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Bilateral globus pallidus internus deep brain stimulation (GPi‐DBS) is a proven safe and effective treatment in certain forms of idiopathic or inherited dystonia (ID/IN). Its effects in acquired dystonia such as in dyskinetic cerebral palsy (DCP) however vary widely.

Highly Reproducible, Vendor‐Agnostic, Motion‐Insensitive Liver PDFF Mapping at 0.55T, 1.5T, and 3T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop and validate a vendor‐agnostic, motion‐insensitive proton‐density fat‐fraction (PDFF) quantification method. Methods Flip‐angle‐modulated (FAM) 2D chemical‐shift‐encoded (CSE) MRI for PDFF quantification was implemented in both the vendor‐agnostic platform Pulseq (“Pulseq‐FAM”) and one vendor‐specific platform (“GE‐specific ...

Motion‐ and Field‐Robust Mesoscopic Whole‐Brain T2*$$ {T}_2^{\ast } $$‐Weighted Imaging at 7 and 11.7 T Using Servo Navigation

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To mitigate artifacts related to motion and field changes in high‐resolution T2*$$ {T}_2^{\ast } $$‐weighted human brain imaging using servo navigation at ultra‐high fields up to 11.7 T. Methods MR‐based servo navigators were integrated into a segmented 3D‐EPI sequence to allow for prospective correction of involuntary head motion and ...
