Global warming is changing plant communities due to the arrival of new species from warmer regions and declining abundance of cold‐adapted species. However, experimentally testing predictions about trajectories and rates of community change is challenging because we normally lack an expectation for future community composition, and most warming ...

Gle1 knockout mice fail to segregate cell lineages at the blastocyst stage, resulting in very early embryonic lethality. Gle1 knock‐in (KI) mice harboring a pathogenic variant giving rise to lethal congenital contracture syndrome 1 show both known and novel innervation defects, supportive of multiorgan pathology in human fetuses.

A narrative review of the impact of anthropogenic light and noise on owls
Today, owls are exposed to increasingly brightly lit nights and noisy environments because of human activities. To understand the impacts of artificial light at night (ALAN) and anthropogenic noise we performed an evidence synthesis. We searched four literature databases and Google Scholar and we collected 39 relevant articles (1945–2024) providing 125

Greece hosts 1310 species of spiders, 226 of which are endemic. Out of the 202 assessed species in IUCN standards, 64.5% are assessed as threatened. Integrating 187 articles and other forms of literature, we present 18,000 unique occurrences across continental and island Greece. Spider conservation in Greece should focus on obtaining distributional and

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact
An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.
