Short-time Fourier transform with the window size fixed in the frequency domain
The Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) is widely used to convert signals from the time domain into a time–frequency representation. This representation has well known limitations regarding time–frequency resolution.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

Estimating the Taylor rule in the time-frequency domain
We assess U.S. monetary policy across time and frequencies in the framework of the Taylor Rule (TR). With that purpose, we derive a multivariate generalization of the wavelet gain ? the partial wavelet gain ? a new tool which allows us, for the ?rst time,

Adaptive SVD Denoising in Time Domain and Frequency Domain
In seismic data processing, noise not only affects velocity analysis and seismic migration, but also causes potential risks in post-stack processing because of the artifacts.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

DSGE Models in the Frequency Domain [PDF]
We exploit well-known features of the frequency domain to estimate a medium-scale DSGE model on different frequency bands. We study whether fit, parameter estimates and forecasting performance depend on the frequency band over which the model is estimated.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...
