Single-Carrier Frequency-Domain Equalization Based on Frequency-Domain Oversampling

IEEE Communications Letters, 2012
A technique based on the frequency-domain oversampling in Single-Carrier Frequency-Domain Equalization is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed system based on frequency domain oversampling outperforms the conventional system in static frequency-selective channel.

Robust frequency-domain precoders

IEEE Communications Letters, 2001
This letter introduces a novel class of linear precoders which explicitly add algebraic redundancy in the frequency domain. A procedure for designing robust precoders of the above form for transmission through unknown channels is derived. Such precoders guard against the adverse effects of narrowband interference and frequency selective fading channels.

Spectroscopy in the Frequency Domain

2012
In the same way as we can not visit a distant extrasolar planet to study its properties, the atomic world lies beyond our direct reach. The human being is only capable of handling objects of a certain size—both the very large and the very small are outside of our immediate reach.

The frequency domain

2002
We are familiar with systems that are dynamic, that is, systems whose output signals vary with time. Examples are shown in Figure 14.1.

Frequency domain representations of surfaces

SMC'98 Conference Proceedings. 1998 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (Cat. No.98CH36218), 2002
We present "surface frequency" representations, which describe how Cartesian positions on a surface vary with the intrinsic position along the surface. These representations are constructed using optimized coordinate values, individual sample weights, and an iterative transform algorithm.

Frequency-domain smoke guiding

ACM Transactions on Graphics, 2020
We propose a simple and efficient method for guiding an Eulerian smoke simulation to match the behavior of a specified velocity field, such as a low-resolution animation of the same scene, while preserving the rich, turbulent details arising in the simulated fluid. Our method works by simply combining the high-frequency component of the simulated fluid

Texture Transfer in Frequency Domain

2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics, 2011
Texture transfer has been extensively studied in literature recently. Most of the techniques are either structural or statistical, with an emphasis on utilizing texture synthesis algorithms. In this paper we address texture transfer in an alternative way, that is, to extract texture information in frequency domain, and then apply it to the target image.

Frequency domain Nonlinear Optics

Nonlinear Optics, 2017
Frequency-domain Nonlinear Optics (FNO) merges the simplicity of linear optics with the power of nonlinear optics. Employing FNO, we demonstrate pulse shaping in the deep UV and amplification of two-cycle infrared pulses to 2.5 TW.

Frequency domain models of the EEG

Brain Topography, 1992
The structure of the normal resting EEG crosspectrum SVV(omega) is analyzed using complex multivariate statistics. Exploratory data analysis with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is followed by hypothesis testing and computer simulations related to possible neural generators.

Frequency domain testing of ADCs

IEEE Design & Test of Computers, 1996
Aimed at design and test engineers making the transition from strictly digital devices to devices with both digital and analog content, this tutorial introduces frequency domain analysis for the testing of mixed-signal devices. The author describes dynamic testing of analog-to-digital converters using Fourier analysis, including coherent sampling ...
