Derating of an Induction Machine under Voltage and Frequency Deviation
One of the most frequently appearing power quality disturbances is voltage deviation. In addition in autonomic power systems, e.g. in ships, frequency deviation often occurs.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Fault Signal Extraction Using Deviation Energy in Frequency Domain
This paper proposed a new method for fault signal extraction from a mixture vibration or acoustic signal with single measurement. This method is based on the fact that an occasionally happened fault brings additional frequency components and additional ...

Improved VSG strategy of grid-forming inverters for supporting inertia and damping
A virtual synchronous generator (VSG) strategy can introduce the rotational inertia and damping characteristics of the synchronous generator to the static inverter, e.g., PV, wind generation, and ESS, which are used to enhance the system frequency ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Hardy-Weinberg Deviation and EM-based Haplotype Frequency Estimation
Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are the most common type of genetic variation in human genome. Haplotypes which combine multiple SNPs into super-alleles have been widely used in modern genetic analysis, especially in human disease association ...

Deviation from HWE and estimated frequency of null alleles.
The absolute difference between expected and observed heterozygosity in a population, as a measure of deviation from HWE, plotted against the estimated frequency of null alleles per marker per population for all nine loci to be used in future population ...
