Dynamics of Frequency Estimation in the Frequency Domain
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2007The possibility of error reduction in frequency estimations with a multipoint interpolated discrete Fourier transformation (DFT) for the Hanning window is described. An estimation of the periodic parameter by the interpolation of the DFT gives the same effect as the reduction of spectrum tails.

In this paper it is presented the second stage analysis used to determine the signal quality coefficient for vibro-acoustic signals. After successfully determining the integrity coefficient in the “first stage analysis on determining the Signal Quality Coefficient in vibro-acoustic domain-waveform integrity analysis” paper a second and deeper analysis ...

Strict Passivity in the Frequency Domain
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992Abstract The notion of strict passivity is defined for systems represented by a set of differential equations. An equivalent definition is formulated in frequency domain terms. The paper shows that the considered systems are strictly passive if and only if a corresponding J-Iossless matrix can be constructed. Several examples are included.

Frequency-Domain Equalization Incorporated with Frequency-Domain Redundancy for OFDM Systems
2006 IEEE 17th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2006This paper proposes a frequency-domain equalizer (FEQ) which utilizes not only guard interval but also redundancy in the frequency domain to eliminate inter-symbol and inter-carrier interferences. The proposed FEQ employs the hybrid criterion, i.e., the zero-forcing (ZF) criterion for compensating desired subcarriers and the minimum mean square error ...

Spectroscopy in the Frequency Domain
2012In the same way as we can not visit a distant extrasolar planet to study its properties, the atomic world lies beyond our direct reach. The human being is only capable of handling objects of a certain size—both the very large and the very small are outside of our immediate reach.

Single-Carrier Frequency-Domain Equalization Based on Frequency-Domain Oversampling
IEEE Communications Letters, 2012A technique based on the frequency-domain oversampling in Single-Carrier Frequency-Domain Equalization is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed system based on frequency domain oversampling outperforms the conventional system in static frequency-selective channel.

Time series analysis in frequency domain has always been an active area of research. Theorists often employ techniques in frequency domain to advance current understanding on complex time series properties and develop useful toolboxes for practical time series analysis.

Robust frequency-domain precoders
IEEE Communications Letters, 2001This letter introduces a novel class of linear precoders which explicitly add algebraic redundancy in the frequency domain. A procedure for designing robust precoders of the above form for transmission through unknown channels is derived. Such precoders guard against the adverse effects of narrowband interference and frequency selective fading channels.

IEEE Control Systems, 2000
The author aims to give you some idea of what a pole is and why it is a significant concept. To do this, he gives a tour of the mysterious world that control engineers call the frequency domain. The article is intended as a conceptual preview for undergraduate students and assumes minimal technical background.

Frequency domain representations of surfaces
SMC'98 Conference Proceedings. 1998 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (Cat. No.98CH36218), 2002We present "surface frequency" representations, which describe how Cartesian positions on a surface vary with the intrinsic position along the surface. These representations are constructed using optimized coordinate values, individual sample weights, and an iterative transform algorithm.
