Space-time versus frequency domain signal processing for 3D THz imaging

2009 IEEE Sensors, 2009
For the first time, to the best of the authors knowledge, a 3D image reconstruction is developed using wide beam THz radiation. The reconstruction method finds its origins in the domain of radar and sonar where it is known as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) respectively.

Frequency-domain Volterra kernel estimation via higher-order statistical signal processing

Proceedings of 27th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2002
We discuss the utilization of higher-order spectral moments to determine frequency-domain Volterra kernels, given time series records of the random excitation and response of a nonlinear physical system. In particular, we consider frequency domain third-order Volterra kernel identification for nonGaussian excitation.

Signal representation and processing in the mixed time-frequency domain

ICASSP '87. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
This paper is concerned with mixed time-frequency signal processing using Wigner Distribution Function (WDF). This approach is based upon the generation of the mixed time-frequency representation (MTFR) of a signal, processing of that representation in the mixed time-frequency domain, and obtaining a filtered output by an inverse operation or ...

Digital signal processing methods of global nonparametric frequency domain audio testing

Signal Processing, 2005
In this paper we propose advanced digital signal processing methods of nonparametric frequency domain audio system distortion testing. The traditional frequency domain audio tests are based on the theory of electrical networks and are suitable for local distortion characterization only.

The Application of Frequency Domain and Time Domain Analysis on Vortex Flowmeter Signal Processing

2011
The vortex flowmeter is widely used because of its many advantages. However, it is easily influenced by the noises caused by pipe vibrations and fluid turbulence. The digital processing methods can complement the drawbacks of the traditional methods. This paper adopted a frequency domain and time domain analysis method to the vortex flowmeter signal ...

DOPPLER FILTERING OF SIGNALS WITH WEIGHTED PROCESSING IN THE FREQUENCY DOMAIN

Modern Technologies in Science and Education. MTSE-2025
A method for implementing a multichannel Doppler filter that implements different weight processing in each frequency channel is proposed. It is shown that with such a realization, it is possible to achieve computational efficiency close to traditional time-based weighing followed by a fast Fourier transform operation.
