EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

On the Performance of the Martin Digital Filter for High- and Low-pass Applications [PDF]

open access: yes
A nonrecursive numerical filter is described in which the weighting sequence is optimized by minimizing the excursion from the ideal rectangular filter in a least squares sense over the entire domain of normalized frequency. Additional corrections to the

A nonlinear filter for compensating for time delays in manual control systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
A nonlinear filter configured to provide phase lead without accompanying gain distortion is analyzed and evaluated. The nonlinear filter is superior to a linear lead/lag compensator in its ability to maintain system stability as open loop crossover ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

An unconventional magnetically-coupled multivibrator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
Multivibrator circuit provides a low-frequency sine wave output without using a low-frequency power transformer or filter components. This circuit, utilizing two transistors and a magnetic core, represents a reduction in complexity, size, and weight over

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Compact Microstrip Fixed-Frequency Double-Coupled Double-Tuned Filter with Selected Band Suppression

open access: yesSensors
This paper presents the design and analysis of a compact microstrip fixed-frequency double-inductive-coupled filter with selected band suppression. The filter can be used as an input filter in wireless IoT sensors.
