Cascaded integrator comb filters with smoothly varying coefficients for reduced delay in synchrotron feedback loops

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2005
The Rapid Cycling Synchrotron (RCS) of the J-PARC complex in Tokai, Japan, is designed to accelerate a high intensity proton beam from 181 MeV, and later 400 MeV to 3 GeV in 20 ms within the 40 ms machine cycle. The beam power up to 1 MW demands a stable

A New Class of Highly-Miniaturized Reconfigurable UWB Filters for Multi-Band Multi-Standard Transceiver Architectures

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Modern wireless communication systems typically employ multiple frequency bands for several standards. A new class of miniaturized ring filters with tuning capability is introduced for this purpose.

A Novel Steerable Filter in the Frequency Domain: The Rose Curve Filter

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2021
Feature extraction in image processing is a difficult task. To do this, a filter bank is one of the most used techniques. To extract a feature, the image is masked with filters in prepared filter banks, one by one.

All fiber, low threshold, widely tunable single-frequency, erbium-doped fiber ring laser with a tandem fiber Fabry–Perot filter [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
An all fiber, widely tunable, single-frequency, erbium-doped fiber ring laser was constructed with a threshold pump power as low as 10 mW. Tuning over more than 30 nm was obtained by applying 0 to 17 dc V to an intracavity fiber Fabry–Perot filter ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

An FIR Notch Filter for Adaptive Filtering of a Sinusoid in Correlated Noise

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2006
A novel adaptive FIR filter for the estimation of a single-tone sinusoid corrupted by additive noise is described. The filter is based on an offline optimization procedure which, for a given notch frequency, computes the filter coefficients such that ...

Perencanaan Rancang Bangun Microstrip Band Pass Filter dengan Struktur Tapped Input Hairpin pada Aplikasi Jaringan Mid-band 5G Telkomsel

open access: yesJurnal EECCIS (Electrics, Electronics, Communications, Controls, Informatics, Systems), 2022
Microstrip filter is a type of Radio Frequency (RF) filter that uses a thin electrical conductor separated from the ground plane by using a dielectric called the substrate.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Self-tuning bandpass filter [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
An electronic filter is described which simultaneously maintains a constant bandwidth and a constant center frequency gain as the input signal frequency varies, and remains self-tuning to that center frequency over a decade range.

Radar matched filtering using the fractional fourier transform [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
-A matched filter is the optimal linear filter for maximizing the signal to noise ratio (SNR) in the presence of additive noise. Matched filters are commonly used in radar systems where the transmitted signal is known and may be used as a replica to be ...
