Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Reconfigurable RF Filter Based on Cascaded Microring Resonators

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
To meet the requirement of radio frequency signal processing tasks among various frequency bands, here we have demonstrated a reconfigurable microwave photonic bandpass filter by flipping the optical notch spectrum of a cascaded microring resonator (MRR)

Use of Mutual Coupling to Decrease Parasitic Inductance of Shunt Capacitor Filters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we propose and study several new designs of a shunt capacitor filter with two surface-mount technology capacitors. These designs make use of mutual inductance effects to increase the attenuation provided by the filter in the range of high ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

On the Compensation of Delay in the Discrete Frequency Domain

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2004
The ability of a DFT filterbank frequency domain filter to effect time domain delay is examined. This is achieved by comparing the quality of equalisation using a DFT filterbank frequency domain filter with that possible using an FIR implementation. The

A comparative study of methods for estimating virtual flux at the point of common coupling in grid connected voltage source converters with LCL filter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Grid connected Voltage Source Converters (VSCs) with LCL filters usually have voltage measurements at the filter capacitors, while it can be important to control the active or reactive power injection at the grid-side of the LCL filter, for instance at a

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Frequency locking of an erbium-doped fiber ring laser to an external fiber Fabry-Perot resonator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
An all-fiber, single-frequency, erbium-doped ring laser has been frequency locked to a resonance peak of an external fiber Fabry-Perot resonator by the Pound-Drever technique.

Frequency shift filtering technique

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1999
A heterodyne continuous time active filter is described. Control over the operating has been achieved without external components, through a tunable local oscillator. It has been possible to build a single chip filter that may be tuned from very low frequencies up to 70 kHz in a single range.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
