Frequency hopping sequences with optimal partial autocorrelation property
International Symposium onInformation Theory, 2004. ISIT 2004. Proceedings., 2004We characterize pk-ary (p prime, k integer) generalized m-sequences and generalized GMW sequences of period p2k-1 over a residue class ring R=GF(p)[xi]/(xik) with the "strictly" optimal partial Hamming autocorrelation function (HAF)

A novel family of frequency hopping sequences for multi-hop bluetooth networks
IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 2003The Bluetooth technology is expected to be of the fastest growing which enable consumer electronic devices to connect and communicate via short-range links. The Bluetooth radio operates on frequency hopping over the 2.4 GHz band at 1600 hops/s. In this paper, a novel family of frequency hopping sequences based on 3DES iterated block cipher is proposed ...

New family of hopping sequences for time/frequency-hopping CDMA systems
IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2005In this paper, a new family of hopping sequences with very large family size suitable for use in time/frequency-hopping (TH/FH) code-division multiple-access (CDMA) systems is proposed and investigated. The construction of the new hopping sequences is based upon the polynomial theory over the finite field, and the new hopping sequences are called the ...

Optimal Frequency-Hopping Sequence Sets Based on Cyclotomy
International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2016In this paper, a kind of generalized cyclotomy with respect to the square of a prime is presented and the properties of the corresponding generalized cyclotomic numbers are investigated. Based on the generalized cyclotomy, a class of frequency-hopping sequence (FHS) set is constructed. By means of some basic properties of the generalized cyclotomy, we

Improved Singleton Bound on Frequency Hopping Sequences
2014In this paper, a new bound on the frequency hopping (FH) sequences with respect to the size of the frequency slot set, the sequence length, the family size, and the maximum periodic Hamming correlation is established. The new bound is tighter than the Singleton bounds on the FH sequences derived by Ding et al. (2009) and Yang et al.

On frequency-hop multiple access sequence
1st International Conference on Universal Personal Communications - ICUPC '92 Proceedings, 2003The design of frequency-hop spread spectrum multiple access sequences is discussed. In particular, it is pointed out that the minimum number of pairwise hits between sequences does not necessarily guarantee good sequences in terms of mutual interference between multiple users.

A generalized hyperbolic frequency hopping sequences
Proceedings of 2004 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems, 2004. ISPACS 2004., 2005We present the problem of constructing frequency hopping (FH) sequences. The new family of FH sequences we have constructed is called generalized hyperbolic FH sequences. The previous hyperbolic FH sequences, derived by S.V. Maric and E.I. Titlebaum (see IEEE Trans. Commun., vol.40, no.9, p.1442-7, 1992), and extended hyperbolic hopping, derived by M.S.

New Constructions for Optimal Sets of Frequency-Hopping Sequences
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2011In this paper, two generic constructions of optimal frequency-hopping sequence (FHS) sets employing d-form functions with difference-balanced property are presented. They generalize the previous constructions of optimal FHS sets using m-sequences and produce new optimal FHS sets that cannot be produced by the earlier constructions.

A Class of Optimal Frequency Hopping Sequences with New Parameters
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2012In this paper, we propose an interleaving construction of new sets of frequency hopping sequences from the known ones. By choosing suitable known optimal frequency hopping sequences and sets of frequency hopping sequences and then recursively applying the proposed construction, optimal frequency hopping sequences and sets of frequency hopping sequences
