Strictly Optimal Frequency-Hopping Sequence Sets With Optimal Family Sizes
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2016Frequency-hopping sequences (FHSs) with favorable partial Hamming correlation properties are desirable in many synchronization and multiple-access systems. An FHS set is said to be strictly optimal if it has optimal partial Hamming correlation for any correlation window. In this paper, we derive upper bounds on the family sizes of FHS sets with respect

Optimal Sets of Frequency Hopping Sequences With Large Linear Spans
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2010Frequency hopping (FH) is one of the basic spread coding technologies in spread spectrum communications. FH sequences are needed in FH code-division multiple access (CDMA) systems. For the anti-jamming purpose, FH sequences are required to have a large linear span. A few optimal sets of FH sequences are available in the literature.

Optimal Sets of Frequency Hopping Sequences From Linear Cyclic Codes
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2010In communication systems, frequency hopping spread spectrum and direct sequence spread spectrum are two main spread coding technologies. Frequency hopping sequences are used in FH-CDMA systems. In this paper, an earlier idea of constructing optimal sets of frequency hopping sequences is further investigated.

New Constructions of Optimal Frequency-Hopping Sequence Sets with Low-Hit-Zone
International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2016The frequency-hopping sequence set with low-hit-zone (LHZ FHS set) is useful for eliminating multiple-access interference in quasi-synchronous frequency-hopping multiple access systems. In this paper, basing on Cyclotomy, the discrete logarithm function and the Chinese remainder theorem, we construct two classes of LHZ FHS sets which have new ...

An Optimal Frequency Hopping Sequence Set Based on the Polynomial Theory
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014A new class of cubic frequency hopping (FH) sequence set is proposed in this paper. The new cubic FH sequence set is proved to be optimal with respect to the average Hamming correlation bound. Furthermore an optimal FH sequence set based on polynomial theory that is optimal with respect to the Singleton bound on FH sequences is also constructed.

Optimal frequency-hopping sequence sets under maximum aperiodic Hamming correlation
2015 Seventh International Workshop on Signal Design and its Applications in Communications (IWSDA), 2015In order to evaluate the goodness of frequency-hopping sequences, the maximum aperiodic Hamming correlation is used as an important measure. In this paper, based on generalized Gordon-Mills-Welch sequences (GGMW sequences) and generalized m-sequences (GM sequences), two classes of frequency-hopping sequence sets arc presented, which are optimal for ...

On the Average Hamming Correlation of Frequency-Hopping Sequence Sets with Low Hit Zone
2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC), 2019In frequency-hopping sequence (FHS) design, the average Hamming correlation is an important performance indicator. In this paper, the average Hamming correlation of low-hit-zone (LHZ) FHS sets, which has not yet been reported previously, is studied. A lower bound on the average Hamming auto-correlation and the average Hamming cross-correlation of LHZ ...

Analysis of protocol sequence sets for asynchronous slow frequency hopping
1988 IEEE 5th International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications - Proceedings. Spread Technology to Africa (Cat. No.98TH8333), 2002The error probability bound is shown for asynchronous slow frequency hopping multiple access channel with non-random protocol sequence sets. Protocol sequence sets with interleaved codes are considered. This bound depends on the maximum and average Hamming correlation properties of the protocol sequence set applied.
