Time-Hopping Multicarrier Code-Division Multiple-Access

open access: yes, 2006
A time-hopping multicarrier code-division multiple-access (TH/MC-CDMA) scheme is proposed and investigated. In the proposed TH/MC-CDMA each information symbol is transmitted by a number of time-domain pulses with each time-domain pulse modulating a ...

Historical Foundation and Practical Guideline for Ferroelectric Switching Kinetic Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The P and U pulses in the conventional PUND measurements are not identical because of the interplay between switching current and the measurement circuit components. This circuit effect can lead to a shift in polarization transients and misinterpreted physics in the switching kinetics.

Frequency-Hopping Binary Offset Carrier Modulation with Independent Frequency-Hopping Patterns in Lower and Upper Sidebands

open access: yesRemote Sensing
To enhance the anti-interference capabilities and increase flexibility in frequency allocation between the lower and upper sidebands of the navigation signal, we introduce frequency-hopping binary offset carrier modulation with independent frequency ...

Giant Magnetic Coercivity Driven by Spin‐Bag Ferromagnetism in Epitaxial Sr3YCo4O10+δ Films with Engineered 2D Oxygen Vacancy Ordering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

Multistage Frequency-Hopping Assisted Ultra-Wideband Multiple-Access Communications

open access: yes, 2002
Ultra-WideBand (UWB) systems having a bandwidth on the order of a Gigahertz have recently received wide attention both in the USA and in Europe. In this contribution a novel UWB multiple access scheme based on the well-known family of Frequency-Hopping ...

Parameter estimation of multiple frequency‐hopping signals based on Bayesian compressive sensing and atomic norm soft thresholding with missing observations

open access: yesIET Communications, 2022
In this study, the problem of estimating multiple frequency‐hopping (FH) signal parameters in situations in which random observations are missing is addressed.

Light‐Induced Field‐Tunneling Synapses in Solution‐Processed Van Der Waals Heterostructures for Scalable, Retina‐Inspired Optical Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable, solution‐processed WSe2/ZrO2‐x van der Waals heterostructure realizes a light‐induced field‐tunneling synapse (LIFTS) that activates exclusively under bright illumination, emulating the photopic adaptation of the human retina at the device level.

Measurement Based Direction of Arrival Estimation for Frequency Hopping Signals

open access: yes2020 28th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2020
In this paper, the problem of measurement-based angle of arrival estimation for frequency hopping signals is discussed. While the angle of arrival estimation is important information for many subjects, obtaining the angle of arrival estimation for frequency hopping signals is needed a different approach. A method based on resampling and noise reduction

2D Co‐Assembly of Solid Acids Enables Stable Superprotonic Conduction Above 260°C

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐dimensional co‐assembly strategy integrates antimony phosphate and phosphotungstic acid nanosheets into free‐standing inorganic lamellar membranes with confined acid–acid interfaces. The resulting interfacial hydrogen‐bond network enables anhydrous proton conductivity exceeding 0.1 S cm−1 at 260°C and supports stable high‐temperature fuel‐cell ...

Balancing Hydrophobicity and Hydrophilicity: Dual Filler‐Engineered Proton Exchange Membranes for Durable, High‐Power Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polarity‐matched Zr–MOFs program Nafion's nanoscale morphology during solution casting. Hydrophilic UiO‐66 preserves hydrated pathways, while hydrophobic UiO‐67 increases the proton hopping sites by densifying ionic clusters. Combining both fillers yields a membrane that delivers 176 mS cm−1 conductivity, reaches 1.46 W cm−2 under 200 kPa, and triples ...
