Spectrum Sharing in an ISM Band: Outage Performance of a Hybrid DS/FH Spread Spectrum System with Beamforming

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2009
This paper investigates spectrum sharing issues in the unlicensed industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) bands. It presents a radio frequency measurement setup and measurement results in 2.4 GHz.

Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum: An Effective Way to Improve Wireless Communication Performance

open access: yes, 2011
To improve the performance of short-range wireless communications, channel quality must be improved by avoiding interference and multi-path fading. Frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) is a transmission technique where the carrier hops from frequency

Rethinking Charge Transport and Recombination in Donor‐Diluted Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Organic solar cells with 1–45% PM6 content in Y12 were studied to link structure and charge dynamics to performance. The conductivity follows a 3D percolation model without a sharp threshold. Donor dilution preserves the photogeneration yield, but limits the fill factor due to transport resistance losses.

Multiple access based on three-stage modulation in multi-band OFDM-UWB system

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2007
According to the characteristics of multi-band orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing ultra-wideband(OFDM-UWB) system,a multiple access based on three-stage modulation(TSM-MA) was proposed. It combined multi-carrier code division multiple access(MC ...

Multiuser Detection Assisted Time- and Frequency-Domain Spread Multicarrier Code-Division Multiple-Access

open access: yes, 2006
In this contribution, we study a reduced-complexity multiuser detection aided multicarrier direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (MC DS-CDMA) scheme, which employs both time (T)-domain and frequency (F)-domain spreading.

Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum Security Improvement with Encrypted Spreading Codes in a Partial Band Noise Jamming Environment

open access: yes, 2013
Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) system is often deployed to protect wireless communication from jamming or to preclude undesired reception of the signal.

Monolithic 3D‐Integrated All‐Solid Ion‐Gated Carbon Nanotube Transistors With Tunable Ionic Conductance for Multi‐Timescale Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐timescale reservoir based on monolithically 3D (M3D)‐integrated CNT solid ion‐gated transistors is demonstrated. Tunable ionic dynamics and pulse‐engineered operation enable linear and symmetric synaptic updates. The M3D‐integrated array achieves robust temporal encoding and accurate classification of moving MNIST sequences, highlighting its ...

Reed Solomon Coding for Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum in Jamming Environment

open access: yes, 2008
Frequency hopping spread spectrum with noncoherent M-ary frequency shift keying system is considered. In this study Reed Solomon codes RS (255, 223) are employed in a standard error correction role to provide some Anti-Jamming (AJ) capability with 8-bit ...

Trions as Fundamental Species in Chemically Doped Polymer Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work shows that exciton–charge carrier coupling in doped polymer semiconductors gives rise to multi‐particle states, including trions—quasiparticles consisting of two holes and one electron under p‐doping—and bound exciton‐hole pairs, as identified through spectroscopic and theoretical analysis.

Low-Complexity Erasure Insertion in Frequency-Hopping Spread-Spectrum Communications Subjected to Fading and Partial-Band Interference

open access: yes, 2001
In this paper we propose two novel low-complexity, low-delay erasure insertion schemes, namely the Output Threshold Test (OTT) and joint Maximum Output and Ratio Threshold Test (MO-RTT).
