Frequency Independent Phase Shifter

2006 International Conference on Microelectronics, 2006
A new simple and low cost frequency independent phase shifter is presented. The design is based on the simple op-amp phase shifter with programmable floating resistor and programmable capacitor. The phase shift can be varied using the programmable resistor.

A frequency-independent phase shifter

Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1980
Describes a circuit which produces, over a restricted frequency range, a frequency independent phase shift and an invariant amplitude. The circuit uses switched capacitor techniques to ensure linearity and to simplify the setting up procedure.

On frequency independent damping

Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2004
The following three models, which lead to the frequency independent damping, are examined: the hysteretic model, which consists of linearly elastic spring and (in parallel with the spring) Coulomb's element with the force proportional to the value of displacement; the modified hysteretic model, which is constructed by the addition (sequential) of an ...

Frequency independent acoustic antenna

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1984
A frequency independent log periodic acoustic device is utilized for the transmission or reception of underwater sound. The acoustic device when used in conjunction with any substantially plane wave receiving or transmitting transducer produces a directional, substantially constant beamwidth diffraction pattern for radiation or reception of underwater ...

Frequency-independent hysteresis in metallic magnets

Physical Review B, 1992
A large class of soft metallic ferromagnets like Fe-Ni-Al and Ni-Zn ferrites exhibit hysteresis behavior which is independent of the frequency of the applied magnetic field. We show that the reason for this is that the microscopic relaxation time is inversely proportional to the frequency of the applied field (for low frequencies).

Frequency independent phase shifter circuit

International Conference on Information Communication and Embedded Systems (ICICES2014), 2014
In this paper we have proposed an electronic circuit, which can be used to introduce a phase lead independent of frequency. The design is achieved using a simple frequency to voltage converter and using it to control the resistance of a voltage controlled resistor, which has linear dependence. Previous efforts in building such a circuit were capable of

A frequency-independent phase shifter

Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1979
The circuit described gives the frequency-independent phase shift for a band-limited signal, while keeping its amplitude invariant. The key component is a field-effect transistor which, driven by a frequency discriminator, provides a resistance which is inversely proportional to the frequency.

Nasal ciliary beat frequency is age independent

The Laryngoscope, 1998
AbstractObjectives: Evaluate the age‐dependency of ciliary beat frequency (CBF) in biopsies after ciliogenesis in culture. Study Design: Retrospective analysis of CBF and ciliary ultrastructure in biopsies and after ciliogenesis from 203 individuals, aged 3 months to 74 years. Methods: All patients with successful culture were included.

Frequency-Independent Antennas

1988
Antennas which theoretically have no limitation on the bandwidth are called frequency independent. In practice, the lower frequency limit is determined by the size of the antenna; the upper frequency limit, by the precision of construction. Actually, the electrical performance is not strictly independent of frequency, rather it is periodic with the ...

A Polarization-Independent Switchable Absorber with Independently Controllable Absorption Frequencies

2018 2nd URSI Atlantic Radio Science Meeting (AT-RASC), 2018
IPID5183829. The proposed design is comprised of a rotated cross-dipole geometry, where the active components (PIN diodes) are mounted across the gaps symmetrically. The novelty of the structure exists in its independent control of the absorption frequencies in two different biasing conditions (ON and OFF states) by tailoring the physical parameters ...
