Frequency-Independent Antennas

1988
Antennas which theoretically have no limitation on the bandwidth are called frequency independent. In practice, the lower frequency limit is determined by the size of the antenna; the upper frequency limit, by the precision of construction. Actually, the electrical performance is not strictly independent of frequency, rather it is periodic with the ...

A Polarization-Independent Switchable Absorber with Independently Controllable Absorption Frequencies

2018 2nd URSI Atlantic Radio Science Meeting (AT-RASC), 2018
IPID5183829. The proposed design is comprised of a rotated cross-dipole geometry, where the active components (PIN diodes) are mounted across the gaps symmetrically. The novelty of the structure exists in its independent control of the absorption frequencies in two different biasing conditions (ON and OFF states) by tailoring the physical parameters ...

STUDY OF FREQUENCY INDEPENDENT ANTENNAS

1961
Abstract : An investigation was made of frequency-independent antenn fro the point of view of designing the antennas for any radiation pattern and polarization. Solutions of Maxwell's equations were discovered which explain the theory of fr uency independent antennas. The effect of curvatur on the current distribution is strikingly demonstrated but the

Frequency Independent Nonlinear Feedforward Phase Estimator

Wireless Personal Communications, 1997
The major focus of this work deals with fast and efficient phase estimation in an additive white Gaussian noise environment, where the received signal is a function of both phase and frequency error (ΔΦ,Δf). The paper proposes a modified version of the Viterbi and Viterbi phase estimator, and compares this modified version with the original.

Broadband Multibeam Frequency-Independent Antenna Arrays

2019 Radiation and Scattering of Electromagnetic Waves (RSEMW), 2019
A review of methods for constructing multibeam antenna arrays forming frequency-independent radiation characteristics in a wide frequency band is presented. A comparison of the methods is given and it is shown that phase methods are more preferable for multibeam antenna arrays.

Frequency independent AC electrical conductivity and dielectric properties of polyaniline-based conductive thermosetting composite

Journal of polymer engineering, 2018
Electrical impedance characteristics of polyaniline (PANI)-dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA)/divinylbenzene (DVB) composite were evaluated as a function of PANI content in the frequency range of 102–108 Hz. Polymer composites were prepared by a one-step

Quasiperiodic Oscillator with Two Independent Frequencies

2014
Quasiperiodic oscillations are widespread in nature and are an important subject of research in the natural sciences. Their peculiarity lies in the fact that they include two or more independent frequencies in the oscillation spectrum: $$\displaystyle{ x(t) = x\big[\phi _{1}(t),\phi _{2}(t),\ldots,\phi _{p}(t)\big]\;, }$$ (12.1) where ϕ i (t)
