Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Nanocrystalline Ni at Multiple Length‐Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Overview of miniaturized in situ SEM fatigue setup and resultant fatigue crack growth data for nanocrystalline Ni. The presented study focuses on the analysis of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in focused ion beam‐notched microcantilevers prepared from nanocrystalline (NC) Ni as a model material.

Modular Critical Element Recycling Platform Using a Nanoporous Additively Manufactured Gyroid

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A modular recycling platform integrates 3D‐printed nanoporous gyroid structures to enable efficient critical element recovery. This system utilizes a hierarchical architecture, combining macroscopic channels with polymerization‐induced nanoscale porosity. By systematically tuning structural wall thickness and resin formulation, the platform achieves an

LADRC-Based Magnetic Field Measurement Method for a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Rotation Sensor

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Magnetic field measurement is fundamental to nuclear magnetic resonance rotation sensors (NMRRS). A phase-locked loop (PLL)-based measurement with two nuclear isotopes is commonly applied to observe the magnetic field.

Modeling Dislocation Cutting of γ′ Precipitates in Ni‐Base Superalloys: Linking Atomistic and Dislocation Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Dislocation cutting of γ′ precipitates in Ni‐based superalloys is investigated by linking atomistic simulations with discrete dislocation dynamics. The critical cutting stress is shown to be governed by the antiphase boundary energy, while line tension effects promote edge‐preferred cutting.

Reinvestigation of Single-Phase FLLs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Besides well-known phase-locked loops, frequency-locked loops (FLLs) are applicable to grid synchronization for grid-tied power converters. The models, principles, and algorithm structures of existing notch filter-based single-phase FLLs are often ...

Three‐Dimensional Anomalous Hall Sensing Enabled By Spin–Orbit Torque Driven Domain Reconfiguration In Chiral Multilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A three‐dimensional magnetic field sensor is realized in chiral W/CoFeB/MgO multilayers, where spin–orbit torques reversibly reconfigure homochiral stripe domains. The symmetry of the torque enables offset‐free in‐plane sensing, while the reproducible domain reconfiguration extends the linear out‐of‐plane range. An anomalous Hall readout delivers large‐

Interface electronics for a CMOS electrothermal frequency-locked-loop

open access: yesESSCIRC 2007 - 33rd European Solid-State Circuits Conference, 2007
This paper describes a new implementation of a CMOS electrothermal frequency-locked-loop (FLL), whose output frequency is determined by the temperature-dependent phase shift of an electrothermal filter (ETF). The FLL maintains a constant phase shift in the ETF, and as a result drives it with a signal whose frequency is a well-defined function of ...

The Coefficient of the Voltage Induced Frequency Shift Measurement on a Quartz Tuning Fork

open access: yesSensors, 2014
We have measured the coefficient of the voltage induced frequency shift (VIFS) of a 32.768 KHz quartz tuning fork. Three vibration modes were studied: one prong oscillating, two prongs oscillating in the same direction, and two prongs oscillating in ...
