ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to quantify changes in predicted 10‐year risk for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and type 2 diabetes (T2D) across weight loss, post–weight loss (Post‐WL), and 1‐year follow‐up and to determine whether trajectories varied by exercise modality.

Photovoltaic (PV) systems offer cost-effective power solutions for outlying islands but often compromise system stability due to reduced inertia. This study introduces a Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) control strategy, integrated with Energy Storage

Drug‐Induced Sleep Endoscopy Findings in Obese Adolescents With Sleep Apnea
Abstract Objective Data regarding drug‐induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) findings in obese adolescents with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are lacking; such information could be used to direct and improve management as there is controversy whether adenotonsillectomy (AT) or positive airway pressure is standard therapy for this population.

ABSTRACT Background Upfront treatment intensification with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) plus an androgen receptor pathway inhibitor has become a standard approach for metastatic hormone‐sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC). However, prognosis remains poor for some patients despite second‐generation androgen receptor antagonist‐based doublet therapy.

Analytical Approach for Novel Temporary Frequency Support Control of VSC HVDC
The grid support function by DC devices such as static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) or high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems is becoming more important owing to renewable energy integration.

Host defence volatiles inhibit mountain pine beetle fungal symbionts in a compound‐ and enantiomer‐specific manner, with distinct dose–response profiles that reveal the multitarget chemical defences of beetle–fungi symbiotes. Abstract BACKGROUND The mountain pine beetle relies on symbiotic fungi to overcome host tree defences, yet these fungi must ...

Stochastic unit commitment for power systems with offshore wind farms towards frequency resiliency
To enhance the resilience of transmission systems with offshore wind farms before the advent of typhoons, a proactive unit commitment scheme is proposed.

Abstract Patients with recurrent high‐grade glioma (rHGG) have a poor prognosis with median progression‐free survival (PFS) of <7 months. Responses to treatment are heterogenous, suggesting a clinical need for prognostic models. Bayesian data analysis can exploit individual patient follow‐up imaging studies to adaptively predict the risk of progression.

Frequency Nadir-Constrained Power System Restoration Planning with Energy Storage
Power system restoration following blackouts must ensure frequency stability throughout the recovery process. This paper proposes a frequency-constrained mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) framework for black-start restoration planning in transmission systems with synchronous machines and energy storage systems.
