Frequency-Reconfigurable Archimedean Spiral Antenna

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013
In this letter, a frequency-reconfigurable Archimedean spiral antenna is presented. The proposed antenna consists of a two-arm spiral fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeding line. A pair of meandered slotlines is implemented at both sides of the CPW-fed slot on the spiral antenna to introduce frequency reconfiguration.

Frequency reconfigurable metamaterial resonant antenna

2009 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference, 2009
In this paper, a frequency reconfigurable metamaterial resonant antenna is presented. In order to realize the proposed antenna, a mushroom structure-based zeroth order resonant (ZOR) antenna is used. The left-handed mode of the ZOR is utilized to realize small antenna.

Miniaturized frequency reconfigurable slot antenna

2015 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), 2015
A frequency reconfigurable slot antenna is proposed. By inserting three p-i-n diodes inside a U-shaped short slot and two L-shaped open slots, which are etched in the ground plane, the antenna can achieve four states: 2.3/5.8 GHz in two single band modes; 2.3/4.4GHz and 4.4/5.8GHz in two dual band modes. The antenna has a size of 25 mm × 27 mm (0.31 λ1

Frequency Reconfigurable Circular Patch Antenna

2021
The design of a frequency reconfigurable antenna placing PIN diode at the ground plane is proposed here. The geometry consists of a circular patch is mounted on an FR4 substrate. The PIN diode is used to disturb the current flow by changing the length of the conductor thereby changing the area.

Frequency reconfigurable aperture coupled antenna

2012 6th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), 2012
The design of wideband log-periodic aperture coupled with frequency agility is studied for modern-day wireless communication application. The antenna is constructed on FR-4 substrate. Seven square patches are used in a log-periodic formation to achieved wide bandwidth of 37% or from 3.8 GHz to 5.5 GHz.

Frequency reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna

2012 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE), 2012
A frequency reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna is proposed. Three switches are used to produce six reconfigurable frequencies. Those switches are positioned in the slot places underneath the patch. A reflector is placed behind the antenna. It was found that, at all frequencies, directional radiation patterns are obtained.
