An Integrated Frequency Regulation Method Based on System Frequency Security Posture

open access: yesEnergies
As the share of renewable energy in a grid increases, the grid’s frequency support capability weakens, and the spatial distribution of grid frequency becomes more pronounced.

Optimal Operation Parameter Estimation of Energy Storage for Frequency Regulation

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
This study proposes a method for optimally selecting the operating parameters of an energy storage system (ESS) for frequency regulation (FR) in an electric power system.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A Simulation-Based Optimization Method for Hybrid Frequency Regulation System Configuration

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
Frequency regulation is essential for the stability of a power grid with high load fluctuation and integration of new energies. Constrained by the large ramping, a generator alone is not capable of conducting load frequency controls effectively and ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A Frequency Regulation Method of Energy Storage System Based on Adaptive Adjustment of Virtual Synchronous Generator Control Parameters

open access: yes发电技术
ObjectivesThe large-scale penetration of wind power has reduced the frequency regulation capability of the power system to a certain extent. As a relatively mature and effective technical means, the energy storage system is widely used in power grid ...

Analysis of Doubly Fed Induction Generators Participating in Continuous Frequency Regulation with Different Wind Speeds Considering Regulation Power Constraints

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Wind turbines (WTs) participate in frequency regulation, which is one of the means to solve the problem of inadequate regulation capacity in power systems with a high proportion of renewable energy.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Physics-Data Fusion Enhanced Virtual Synchronous Generator Control Strategy for Multiple Charging Stations Active Frequency Response

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
In regions where electric vehicles (EVs) are widely adopted and charging stations (CSs) are being built in large numbers, CSs are becoming a critical load-side resource for low-inertia power systems.
