Frequency regulation strategies for energy storage

The development of wind power has impact on the stability of power system. In this paper, the influence of wind power on the system frequency is studied firstly. Energy storage has the potential to provide the frequency regulation service. Two strategies of frequency regulation by energy storage are proposed then.

Distributed frequency regulation in smart grids
