Frequency regulation strategies for energy storage
2016 IEEE 8th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (IPEMC-ECCE Asia), 2016The development of wind power has impact on the stability of power system. In this paper, the influence of wind power on the system frequency is studied firstly. Energy storage has the potential to provide the frequency regulation service. Two strategies of frequency regulation by energy storage are proposed then.

Distributed frequency regulation in smart grids
2017 North American Power Symposium (NAPS), 2017We present and analyze distributed control schemes for frequency regulation in a smart grid. We use energy storage, conventional generators, wind generators and demand response to provide frequency support while having no communication or data sharing between them.

Adrenergic regulation of the force-frequency effect
Basic Research in Cardiology, 1998An important interaction between beta-adrenergic receptor (AR) stimulation and the myocardial contractile response to increased heart rate has only recently been identified. The effect of beta-AR stimulation to amplify the force-frequency effect is responsible for a large component of the positive inotropic effect of exercise in conscious dogs and also

Licensing, Registration, and Frequency Use Regulation
2013The most common and important tool for nationally regulating space activities is the requirement of a license (authorization) from a designated governmental entity. A national license creates a legal nexus between the issuing state and the licensee. Such a license determines the rights and obligations of the licensee; is normally issued under certain ...

Regulator Design in the Frequency Domain
2018A closed-loop control system has to meet several prescribed quality specifications, as stability, static accuracy, dynamical behavior, noise suppression, insensitivity to parameter changes, etc. These specifications can be formulated in the time and in the frequency domain.
