Frequency response analysis of continuous flow systems

Chemical Engineering Science, 1953
Abstract The distribution of residence times in a continuous flow system can be deduced from experiments concerning the behaviour of longitudinal concentration gradients on their course through the system. In this paper the application of sinusoidally varying concentrations is treated from a theoretical and experimental viewpoint.

Mode-Based Frequency Response Analysis With Frequency-Dependent Material Properties

ASME 2008 Noise Control and Acoustics Division Conference, 2008
A new algorithm for mode-based frequency response analysis, which takes into account frequency-dependent material properties, is proposed. First, the projection subspace is determined by computing the eigenmodes of the system. If the AMLS-type eigensolver is used and the frequency-dependent material is confined to a limited area (often less than 1% of ...

Adaptive waveform analysis in frequency response estimation

Proceedings of the 36th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
The frequency function of a linear dynamical system can be estimated using spectral estimation techniques. Traditionally, this is done by smoothing in the frequency domain or windowing in the lag domain. These methods are successful in most cases but sometimes they yield estimates that suffer from poor resolution.

Shape design sensitivity analysis with frequency response

Computers & Structures, 1989
Summary: Shape design sensitivity with frequency response has been derived. The derivation falls in line with the unified design sensitivity theory developed by \textit{E. J. Haug}, \textit{K. K. Choi} and \textit{V. Komkov} [Design sensitivity analysis of structural systems (1986; Zbl 0618.73106)], which used the material derivative concept used in ...
