Wavelet-Based Frequency Response Function: Comparative Study of Input Excitation

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2014
Time-variant systems can be found in many areas of engineering. It is widely accepted that the classical Fourier-based methods are not suitable for the analysis and identification of such systems. The time-variant frequency response function—based on the

An Estimation of Precipitation Retention Time Using Depth Metres in the Northern Basin of Lake Biwa

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2022
To facilitate climate change adaptations and water management, estimates of precipitation retention time (time required for precipitation to reach a lake) can help to accurately determine a water body’s terrestrial water storage capacity and water cycle.

Binaural frequency response function [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1976
The relative sensitivity of the binaural lateralization process to neighboring frequencies was measured using 50-Hz bandwidth noise bursts. The 300-msec bursts had 16 pure tone components spaced 3.33 Hz apart and in random phase. Bursts had center frequencies of 100, 200, 300, or 400 Hz.

Analysis of the dynamic responses of SOA wavelength converters using linear frequency resolved gating technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This letter demonstrates the applicability of the linear frequency resolved optical gating technique for the complete characterization of the fast dynamic response of semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) when operating as wavelength converters.

Identification of damage based on frequency response function (FRF) data

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Mechanical joints, particularly fasteners such as bolted joints have a complex non-linear behaviour. The non-linearity might emerge from the material, geometry or by the contacts in the joints.

Alternative scheme for frequency response function measurement of experimental-analytical dynamic substructuring

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences, 2019
The accuracy of the predicted dynamic behaviour of an assembled structure using the frequency based substructuring (FBS) method is often found to be diverged from the experimental counterparts.
