Respiratory Organ‐on‐a‐Chip for Disease Modeling: From Architecture to Functional Integration
Respiratory organ‐on‐a‐chip (ROC) models capture key mechanical and cellular cues of the human respiratory system, enabling quantitative dissection of disease mechanisms. This review links ROC architectures to disease modeling, functional integration, and commercialization, and proposes a decision framework that aligns model complexity with mechanistic

This study investigates how CTCs survive varying shear stress during hematogenous metastasis. We uncover a self‐protection mechanism, by which non‐adherent CTCs adapt to high shearing milieu through accumulated cytoplasmic myosin‐mediated disruption of myosin‐actin binding, attenuating force transmission into chromatin to protect CTCs from shear ...

An iEEG investigation on sex‐specific differences in seizure duration
Abstract Objective Male people with epilepsy (mPWE) are at higher risk for bilateral tonic–clonic seizures (BTCs) and sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) compared to female people with epilepsy (fPWE). Despite major clinical and personal implications, little is known about sex‐specific differences in seizure propagation and termination ...

Quasi-Elliptic Bandpass Frequency Selective Surface Based on Coupled Stubs-Loaded Ring Resonators
In this paper, a novel design of frequency-selective surface (FSS) based on coupled stubs-loaded ring resonators (SLRRs) is proposed. The proposed FSS exhibits quasi-elliptic bandpass filtering characteristic at C-band.

Optically Transparent Ka‐Band Absorber With Multi‐Fractal Rings and a Metal Mesh Ground Plane
ABSTRACT An optically transparent absorber based on multi‐fractal ring resonators and a metal mesh ground plane is presented for Ka‐band applications. By merging multiple resonances, the proposed absorber maintains an absorption bandwidth from 25.8 to 31.1 GHz.

A New Implementation of Frequency Selective Surface Cloak for Cylindrical Structures
The main purpose of this paper is to design, implement and measure a new sample of mantle cloak. A new method called mantle cloak is introduced by cloaking an object by a single, conformal meta-surface which can drastically suppress the scattering of the

A Novel High Suppression Multilayer Frequency‐Selective Surface Based on Hexagonal Grids
This paper addresses the issue of achieving excellent overall performance for frequency selective surface (FSS) radomes. A dual‐layer frequency selective surface based on a hexagonal structure is proposed, which offers broadband suppression, roll‐off ...

Novel Angular and Polarization Independent Band-Stop Frequency Selective Surface for Ultra-Wide Band Applications [PDF]
A novel compact band-stop frequency selective surface (FSS) with angular and polarization stability performance for ultra-wide band (UWB) applications is presented in this paper. The presented FSS consists of square loop element and a crossed dipole with

A Sensitivity Analysis Approach to Identifying Drivers of Streamflow Hysteresis
ABSTRACT This study reveals the critical interplay between streamflow hysteresis and local hydrogeomorphic conditions. Hysteresis is known to be influenced by characteristics such as bed slope, roughness, and wave intensity, but there has been no comprehensive study of the conditions facilitating hysteresis.
