Design and Analysis of Dual-Polarized Frequency-Selective Metasurface for X-Band Notch Applications [PDF]

open access: yesSensors
This paper presents a miniaturized, polarization-insensitive frequency-selective metasurface (FSMS) with stopband behavior for RF shielding applications. The FSMS is designed to suppress communication at 10 GHz frequency in the X-band.

Independently Tunable Closely Spaced Triband Frequency Selective Surface Unit Cell Using the Third Resonant Mode of Split Ring Slots [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In this paper, a tunable triband frequency selective surface unit cell based on varactor-loaded split ring slots is presented. By using the third resonant mode, a considerable mutual coupling reduction between adjacent ring slots is obtained ensuring both close band response as well as independent band tuning.

Enhancing meta slot space space wavelength to solve blocking case in elastic optical networks

open access: yesMeasurement: Sensors, 2023
Elastic optical networks (EONs) are a promising technology for the development of flexible and wideband communication systems. The (FSU) frequency slot unit concept is used in this technology to define the bandwidth unit in the frequency domain.

In‐band radar cross‐section reduction of the slot array antennas by RAM‐based frequency selective surfaces

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2021
A method for reducing radar cross‐section (RCS) of the slot array antenna by utilising the radar absorbing material, while preserving the radiation performance simultaneously, is proposed and discussed.

Advanced Considerations Concerning Impact of Applied Call Admission Control Mechanisms on Traffic Characteristics in Elastic Optical Network Nodes

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2023
Over the past few years, a significant increase in network traffic volumes has been observed. The ever growing bandwidth demands mean that a reliable and optimum service level needs to be ensured in communication systems for specific traffic categories.

Synthesis of a polarisation‐rotating surface with reflective filtering response based on orthogonally inserted coupled slot‐lines

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2023
In this article, a three‐dimensional polarisation‐rotation surface (PRS) with reflective filtering response based on two orthogonally inserted coupled slot‐line is investigated, which can reflect a vertically/horizontally polarised incident wave by 90 ...

Double-Layered Frequency Selective Surface Superstrate Using Ring Slot and Dipole-Shaped Unit Cell Structure

open access: yesJournal of electromagnetic engineering and science, 2010
In this paper, a double-layered frequency selective surface(FSS) superstrate was built and tested. The unit cell of the proposed FSS consists of a ring slot and a dipole-shaped structure and shows a complementary frequency response. Each unit cell is printed on two sides of a substrate.
