Submegahertz frequency-stabilized Nd:YAG oscillator

Optics Letters, 1982
We have demonstrated a 5-msec, quasi-cw 10-Hz repetition-rate pulsed single-frequency Nd:YAG oscillator with a feedback-stabilized frequency bandwidth of less than 200 kHz.

External dye-laser frequency stabilizer

Optics Letters, 1984
We describe an external dye-laser frequency stabilizer that combines an acousto-optic frequency shifter with a fast electro-optic phase modulator. A compensating electronic delay line in the crossover network provides a near-ideal transducer response while keeping the voltage across the electro-optic crystal away from the amplifier limits.

NIM Frequency Stability Measurement System

1988 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements, 1988
Advances in the frequency stability measurement at National Institute of Metrology (NIM) are presented. The performance of the automated measurement system is described. The measuring uncertainty is discussed in detail. It is pointed out that the noise floor is better than -176 dBc/Hz for the frequency-domain system, and is nearly sigma /sub y/( tau ...

Frequency stability of a Zeeman-stabilized laser

Applied Optics, 1985
The frequency of a commercial hard-sealed He–Ne laser has been stabilized to the center of the discharge gain profile using the mode splitting caused by an axial magnetic field. The absolute frequency has been measured repeatedly during intermittent operation over 20 months. Its drift over most of this period has been 2.6 ± 0.7 MHz/yr.

Multivariable Frequency Domain Stability Criteria

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983
Abstract In this paper we address the problem of determining the least conservative stability criteria for the stability of non-linear multivariable feedback systems based upon a characterisation of the non-linearity and eigenloci plots of the linear operator or its normal approximate.

Optical-RF frequency stability transformer

Optics Letters, 2011
An optical technique based on stability transfer among modes of a monolithic optical microresonator is proposed for long term frequency stabilization of a radio frequency (RF) oscillator. We show that locking the frequency difference of two microresonator modes with dissimilar sensitivity to an applied forcing function to a master RF oscillator ...

Integrating Model-Driven and Data-Driven Methods for Power System Frequency Stability Assessment and Control

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2019
With increase of practical power system complexity, power system online stability assessment and control is more and more important. Application of the traditional model-driven methods is always limited by contradiction between accuracy and efficiency ...

Pulsed optically pumped atomic clock with a medium- to long-term frequency stability of 10-15.

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2020
Herein, we report a significant improvement in the medium- to long-term frequency stability of our pulsed optically pumped (POP) vapor-cell rubidium clock. Such an achievement is established with the better control of our system and the environment.

Center-Frequency-Stabilized Frequency-Modulation System

Proceedings of the IRE, 1947
A system comparing the phase between two frequencies in a balanced phase detector utilizes the output to maintain synchronization between two oscillators. The phase detector operates between ±90 degrees. By dividing the frequency of a frequency-modulated oscillator, the frequency swing is reduced to less than ±24 degrees.
