In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

A planar-diode frequency tripler at 1.9THz [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2003, 2003
A fix-tuned 1.9 THz frequency tripler utilizing membrane based GaAs Schottky diodes has been designed and fabricated. The chips are three microns thick with no supporting frame. One micron thick beam leads are used to ground the diodes and to hold the circuit in a split-waveguide block.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

A Breakdown Voltage Multiplier for High Voltage Swing Drivers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A novel breakdown voltage (BV) multiplier is introduced that makes it possible to generate high output voltage swings using transistors with low breakdown voltages. The timing analysis of the stage is used to optimize its dynamic response.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Microwave Frequency Tripler using InGaAs HEMT Transistor

open access: yesProcedia Manufacturing, 2020
Abstract In this work, a 3x frequency multiplier in microstrip technology is presented. The frequency multiplier is used to generate 17.4GHz signal by multiplying 5.8GHz input and by using Indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) High Electron Mobility Transistor (MGF4918D). The input and output reflection coefficients (S11 and S22) are less than -30 dB. The

Full 3D modelling of pulse propagation enables efficient nonlinear frequency conversion with low energy laser pulses in a single-element tripler [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Although new optical materials continue to open up access to more and more wavelength bands where femtosecond laser pulses can be generated, light frequency conversion techniques are still indispensable in filling the gaps on the ultrafast spectral scale.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.
